First off, a holster is not some thing that is banned in NJ (former resident and Police Officer)
The buyer could have a home in some other state that allows CC. I know that NJ has recently passed some stupid new laws (making it a felony to own a BB gun with out the proper paper work!) but owning a holster is not one of them.
That is one reason I moved to WV. Back in I think 1989 NJ passed a bill that banned some types of firearms. I had several that were on the list, all purchased thru FFL dealers, one was a pistol bought on a NJ pistol permit. The law allowed three options 1. deactivate the fire arm. 2. donate it to a museum. 3. sell it. I was not about to do the first two so I sold most but moved some to my friends home in PA.
I was born and raised in NJ and lived there 57 years. When my wife and I started to think about moving, she asked me where I wanted to go. I told here some place I can shoot out the back door. Well that is what I have, my nearest neighbor is a mile away the nearest one I can see is seven miles away.
I have 35 acres I can open the garage door and sight in on my 100 yard target.
I got my CC permit the first year I was here, this is a state where one can own a Class lll firearm or a suppressor.
One other benefit of living here is my property taxes went form almost $10,000 for an 1.3 acres to $800.00 for 35 acres.
And the politicians can't understand why people are leaving the state
