Looks like internal differences on top of the double stack mag.
(Will watch later)

I notice they have ditched the original Kahr-Style slide stop and D spring arrangement in favor of a sig-style captured lever.
They couldn’t have chosen a worse person to represent the new line.
He’s a nice guy….., but they shat the bed on that oneHoly Toledo... you are right on that one!!! I took about 3 minutes of that and had to turn it off.
There are still a lot of hardcover Kahr fans out there who love it's trigger. I'll leave you all to complain though.
so who knows, it might be a gem when it is finally released.
Having textured slip resistant frames is what 98% of polymer framed handguns have because it's what 98% of the market wants. The current prototype seemed to be in subcompact configuration. It's no different than Glock 26, M&P 2.0 sc, CZ P10sc, Sig P320 sc, so on and so forth. Heck, it's better than the P365, Hellcat, and other staggered stacked micro 9mm(s). It's meant to prioritize concealment. I am sure that, just like Kahr's single platform and every other manufacturer's platform, Kahr will offer different sized grips and barrel lengths for people to choose from. I highly doubt they'll release one size only double stack only. Not complaining... just observing. I am a HUGE fan of the Kahr trigger, I'm not such a fan of most double-stack autos, and particularly those that half the grip comes away with the magazine, let alone the cheese grater frame. That's me, making an observation.

If the single-stack Kahrs have a weakness... that slide stop is likely it.
What's wrong with the floor plate? I have several 9mm and 40s&w mags. The only issue I've had with the mags is the infamous round that will strip off the top if not secured in a mag holster. I recall there being an issue with the followers breaking too, but I Kahr fixed that with a metal insert.I think their greatest shortcoming is the retaining button for the floor plates of their magazines. Hopefully they've changed that.
I like the Kahr triggers. I would rather have this new Kahr double-stack than the SIG SAUER P365. I'd rather have a full-sized Kahr double-stack than a Glock 17.
I almost never see a Kahr in the wild. They just aren’t around my neck of the woods, but I’ve always been intrigued at their operation (long trigger like a DA revolver) and want to test drive one first, before possibly purchasing.I really can't believe Kahr waited so long to make a higher capacity version. The P365 was released six years ago and the PM9/CM9 have long been surpassed by those and the other modern competitors. It just seemed like Kahr took a decade long vacation and now they're introducing something when the market is pretty flooded with equivalent and proven options. I think they forfeited a ton of sales opportunity and the X9 still isn't released yet. And furthermore, Kahr already had a very compact firearm design with a metal mag so it doesn't seem like it should have taken longer to widen the grip every so slightly and design one of these newer high-capacity magazines to fit the new volume.
I didn't watch every second of the video but I don't think he had a Kahr mag with the gun. I think it's dumb for Kahr to let that gun appear on Youtube without the Kahr magazine. The mag interchangeability is interesting but I want to know what the OEM mag looks like (possibly with flush and extended base plate) and what the capacity is for those options.
I think TFG is an okay guy but that also strikes me as a very amateurish way to reveal a long-overdue firearm.
An easy fix is to take the (metal) retaining plate onto a bench block and hit the inside of the button with a punch. Just enough to create a slight catch point for the floor plate.I think their greatest shortcoming is the retaining button for the floor plates of their magazines. Hopefully they've changed that.
