I'm more of a SAK fanWhy do you say it isn't a practical carry knife?

Look's like a pretty good crotch stabber to me...
Just the fact that it's doubled edged makes it illegal to carry in some places.
Throwing knives is fun and something I have participated in at times. Even have a few just for throwing knives as well as throwing tomahawks to play with at the "hawk block" out back.Looks like you could throw it if the cord was absent. Not that I would want to throw one in self defense, but throwing knives can be a fun adventure. Enjoy.
Interesting. I hadn't looked at the weight and assumed that the standard Sting would be the lighter knife given that it's smaller than the 3B. Not so! The standard Sting has a solid steel handle. compared to the skeletonized 3B handle with G10 scales. The 3B is 1.8oz while the standard model is more than twice as heavy.Got the knives today and the 3B is a light little knife that should be handy. The regular Sting is a solid, literally, carbon steel knife that feels good in the hand.
