I have not herd much talk about the Gun the m&P 9c ,But I can Hit the can like an old Clint Eastwood Spagetti Western! Dern good! I Traded my M&P s&w 40c. I Shot very poorly w/it as I bought it used? The low recoil allows me to shoot more sooner and lock back on to target! After reloading for 45acp and 40 s&w I forgot what light recoil was all about! And compact is their, until I get my XDS 45acp back, iam their.I think I will save my XDS for summertime cc for t shirt wheather!:)

If you reload, then cranking out some .40 minor ammo will really spoil you. Kicks less than 9mm

Glad you like your new gun!

The M&P9c is an excellent pistol. You should get some good range time with it. And the right holster will make it a great carry gun.

I've had mine for over 5 years now. Great little handgun, but a little too thick for my style of carry. Love its ergonomics, reliability and accuracy. It's what I take to range when I need to qualify.

Didn't have to trade your M&P40c you could have done what I did, order a factory M&P 9c replacement barrel from Midway, Brownell's, etc. for ~$65 and some 9mm mags and have a dual caliber setup. Some people report that the M&P 40c mags also work when loaded with 9mm and used with the 9mm barrel -- feeding wasn't reliable enough for my tastes so I got some M&P9c mags, good luck with that at the moment :(

Works a treat, no significant change in POA/POI between the barrels.
