Looking forward to learning what I can from y'all here.

Hi, My name is Paul Ryan. I am a comics illustrator. My handle on this forum is Walker2005. The Walker stands for The Ghost Who Walks, another name for The Phantom. 2005 is when I took over the newspaper strip. I have been interested in firearms since my father taught me to shoot his .22 rifle when I was nine. I am a former officer in the Mass National Guard. I discovered THR while searching for some info on the proper care of my recently purchased Henry Big Boy Rifle. The Henry has a solid brass receiver and I wanted to maintain it properly. I found the answers I was looking for on this forum.
Thanks.
Paul

Hi, everybody. I became interested in shooting as a hobby about 3 years ago when I began collecting military surplus firearms. My favorites are the old bolt- actions: Mausers, Mosin- Nagants, Lee- Enfields, etc. Now I am becoming interested in collecting handguns. Currently that is limited to a Nagant revolver ( Tula, 1940) and my awesome Makarov ( Russian Baikal , 1983).
Thanks for letting me join your helpfull forum!

Greetings from the Republic of Texas. I've been a shooter for at least 50 of my almost 60 years. My dad bought me a little .22 single shot rifle and taught me to shoot it for my 10th birthday.

Got my Texas CHL among the first issued. Have a handful of revolvers, a semi-auto, deer rifle, my old .22 single shot, and 12 gauge pump

Hey Guys,
I recently purchased my first gun, a CZ P-01 for hd and target shooting. I am interested in getting a low cost ($500ish) bolt-action .308 for medium range paper punching. What do u think?

Hey y'all!
I am Bethany and I am 23 years old. I am from NC. I graduated from NC State University in 2008 with a Bachelor's in Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences. I am currently in Graduate school getting my Master's in Environmental Science.

I've been a shooter for years! My brother and I used to compete against one another at cereal boxes in the back yard with our BB gun :) ,then I picked up hunting. Turkey, deer, goose, dove, squirrel, rabbit... I love it all! Most importantly, My #1 hunting partner is my Dad. I have had gun safety, respect, and appreciation instilled in me for years.

I found this place in a search for some help with a Browning B-80.

I look forward to talking with everyone here!

New shooter from CT here. I have a Glock 17 (not a fanboy though) and a Ruger 22/45 Stainless Target. I'll try to represent the Northeast here as not all of us our gun control advocates.

Hi Everyone,
I'm Dave.Live in Vermont, longtime gun owner shooter.Doing the downhill side of fifty and getting ready to set up my "retirement hobby" of making jacketed bullets.Have many dies, just waiting for paperwork from the Feds.
Shoot both rifle and handgun, am prior military so am comfortable with most actions, types. Still shoot a fair amount, not as much as I'd like.Any input I can give, I would be glad to be of service.

Hey. From the NorthEast. Am a shotgun fan and will help you with ANY shotgun questions you need. I put some info together onto a website, ask for the link if interested. I came from another firearm forum [firearmtalk] with this exact username. If you're from there, feel free to send me a msg and let me know how things are going.

As for guns, I have 3. 2 shotguns and a 22LR. I like making things explode..and knowing I can protect my home..Although my state is against that, apparently.

Thats about it.

S.S.

Mia culpa, missed this yesterday.

I am 66 yrs young, male, retired military, live in the great state of Louisiana and love to ride my Harley and burn up ammo.

My reloading has been, for many years, primarily shotshells for sporting clays. The current shortage of cartidge ammo has brought me back to that area of reloading.

This looks like a great site with lots of activity. Hope I will be able to contribute when I get my bearings.

Hi, I live in Louisiana, and have a couple of shotguns, a .22 and a .38. Like to shoot whenever I get a chance.

Ok...first post.

I'm in Florida and at age 38 have recently gotten into firearms. A quick internet search brought me here. I currently own the following:

Beretta U22 Neos .22LR
Beretta 92fs 9mm
EAA (Tanfolgio) Elite Match .45ACP

and I've acquired them over the last three months. Next on the purchase list is a Weatherby Vanguard SUB MOA Stainless chambered in .22-250 and some sort of pump shotgun, haven't decided on a model yet. I'm looking forward to being able to learn from the collective wisdom here.

Greetings. Been reading here for quite a while and thought I'd jump in. Former Military, current LE, 23 years gov't service. I'm an LE F/A instructor. I hope can contribute something positive.
