hipoint praise

Let me begin by saying I have NEVER posted on a forum. Never. Any forum. However, I was compelled to tell my story. I will keep it short. I have dealt with other firearms customer service in years past but nothing like hipoint. I have a 9mm 995 circa 1996. After 1000’s of rounds and flawless operation, the other day after the first round down range the trigger stuck back and would not reset. I called hipoint with the serial number and spoke with the tech. Let me say it was refreshing to speak with a REAL person, and someone who knew what they were talking about. He had stated he had been with hipoint since “Day One.” Long story short… by the end of the conversation I was being mailed not only a new trigger, but an updated stainless steel firing pin, double spring, sling, instruction manual, and scope rings. He offered me the TS stock for $40 shipped to my door, which I couldn’t take advantage of at this time, but appreciated the offer. Needless to say, I was VERY impressed. And THAT is what customer service is! I was contemplating purchasing the .40 cal carbine. No more contemplation, I will be buying one.

Hi I'm Furpo from Australia.
As a former farmer, not surprising I shoot on local farms (within 100 miles) as farmers often have issues with vermin - wild dogs, kangaroos and game birds defecating in cattle water troughs.
Use 22lr, .303 #4 US made No 1, Tikka t3 stainless 30.06. All good.
cheers Phil

hello, my name is scott bird, I live in north centeral pa. I am not new to this site, but it has been a long time sense I have been on here. I am a milsurp enthusiast, I love the old battle rifles and buy every one that I can when I can. I am dissabled now so I have time to buy and restore them. I am an avid deer hunter, and I support the second amendment.

Another newbie

The names Rick. I live in upstate NY behind the iron curtain. Just thought I would say hi and introduce myself.

New from Central NC. Found the forum, and visited a lot for information in the past, just decided to join hoping I can contribute. Avid outdoors-man (just don't get alot of time out there with a newborn) hunting, fishing, off road driving (atv and dedicated built OHV), and guns are a passion. Between my dad and myself we have a few. Sportized Mauser 98's for hunting, remington 1100's for hunting, S&W 3rd gens are my weakness, an EAA in 10mm on the way, and I finally built my first AR (on a decent budget too). Hope to enjoy the stay! Thanks for having me!

New member here as of a few minutes ago. I'm 23 years old and from Wisconsin. I love guns and everything to do with them. I currently own a Browning BPS 12 gauge, a glock 23 40s&w, a Remington 700 in. 308 a savage in. 243 and a old Remington woodsmaster that was my grandpa's chambered in 30-06. And plan to get many more guns. No such thing as too many. Anyway I have done some shotshell reloading in the past and am just looking to get into metallic cartridge reloading. Plan on getting a lot of help and tips from this forum. And can't wait to start :)

Hello everyone. I joined this forum to have the ability to communicate with educated firearms owners. I recently inherited about 300 firearms from my grandfather after he passed away. So far, I have been taking an inventory of all the different weapons. It has been a little challenging at times trying to identify some of the older guns, but it is pretty interesting. Other than guns, I'm really into motorcycles and enjoy hitting the race track. I'm also a member on some different motorcycle forums, so some people may recognize my user name. See you around.

Welcome. I have been on this forum and have learned a lot. I hope you find it just as rewarding!

Hello, from North Carolina

A big hello to a group of REAL Americans… I just joined the site. However, I feel like I’ve been a member for a few months now… I work with a buddy of mine that shares stories, articles, and information from this site. Somehow we manage to find a little time to actually do our jobs…

I was born and raised out in the great Southwest (the deserts of New Mexico); I grew up around guns and went shooting with my father and brother. I owned a hand gun when I was seven. Back then there was no thought of hearing and eye protection… maybe that explains my tinnitus… After being in the desert for 45 years and working at the White Sands Missile Range for 25 years, I was offered a job in Connecticut. Whoa, culture shock… Joe Lieberman was my Senator  . After a few years, I was transferred to a lab in upstate New York (Hillary was my senator then :barf: …). After a couple of years there, I transferred to the Raleigh NC Lab. I just love it here… I took a short sabbatical and moved a partner lab in Florida where I finally got to watch a shuttle launch. But two hurricanes and a wild fire later, I decided to move back to good ‘ol North Carolina… Nothing could be finer.. (Ok, I won’t break out in song… THIS time…)

When I left the Southwest and knowing where I was moving to; I sold / gave away most of my rifles, handguns and ammo :banghead: . I did stash a Luger and a Makarov hand gun, along with an old Army .45 (cap and ball) pistol. After 10 years of not shooting and now in a 2A friendly state, I bought a Glock 19 and a S&W airweight :D . I was hooked again. I finally obtained a Concealed Handgun Permit and actually did some target practice. After 10 years of no shooting, the targets were quite safe… I’m doing better now… I recently added several new firearms for the ‘ol gun safe, including my first AR15 build and also got back into reloading.

Anyway, that’s about all I can think of for now… Have fun y’all…

Hey there strangers!
My name is Will, if you couldn't guess from the username, and I'm glad to have joined here. I've been reading the archives and consulting the forum for information and stuff for a few months that I couldn't find in my other forums I belong to, so I finally decided I better join up and contribute something hopefully.

Raised on a farm, varmint shooting and the like, and we hunted a few birds here and there (not waterfowl, upland birds). Brother in law married in to the family, and taught me to hunt deer and other bigger animals early in highschool. Took my first deer with a custom 6mm Remington, built on a old K98. If I ever own a gun that nice, I might just stop buying guns...nothing I'd ever shot before or since came close to that gun.

I'm currently the happy owner of a Mossberg 500 (HD, birds), SKS (deer, plinking), and a Colt LE (HD, deer, coyotes, etc). Shopping for another .22, waiting to inherit one, and just sold off my old one.

My hobbies include, but are not limited to, anything involving mud, blood, fire, or loud booms!

As I life time gun owner I have not shot or hunted since a young man. At the age of 63 I have lost or forgotten any miss guided skills that I ever possessed. My wife and I are moving back to our winter Texas home and I intend to shoot in Brownsville, texas, at a range, if they will let an oklahoma shoot.

Greetings!

I'm a writer who owns a few guns. I know a lot about firearms because a family member is an FFL, and I'm here mostly to help other users with my resources of knowledge, get some research for a few fiction books, and to check this community out.

why I am here

Just more knowledge. I do hate biased posts of why a person says one gun is better than another then shows a picture of the one they own maybe never ever shooting the other gun. I'm not here to argue I hate when a twelve year old tells me I am wrong cause all of his knowledge is from a video game?lol 10 years navy Helocopter combat s.a.r. door gunner I own twenty "total" rifles and hand guns 1 shotgun. I am a AK man but I do own both 2 AK 47's one arsenal sam7r and a zastava 1 AK 74. 2 ar-15's. Bushmaster and s&w. Far more impressed with the AK family but you get what you pay for. Buy a 500$ AK and its a coin toss. Put the extra money into it. I do like the h&k mr15 but we all know they stole from the AK on the function.

Hi H.T.here i do not know how to do much of anything and do not understand hardly any of this but am trying i see buy a old post of yours that you and your son have some old mausers?. Some years back at a old gravel pit i shot a old mauser. My shoulders are not to good so shooting most rifles is not too good but this mauser was great. It is made by mauser and some others toward the end of ww2 for the home gaurd bolt action it shoots 7.92x33 and very easy on your body he said good for deer and any game around here. Good for up to 300 yds. It shoots the same ammo as other rifles that were semi and full auto for the regular army. I thought that if i found the right chat room i could find one hopefully around the west coast. Thank you for reading this H.T.
