Greetings, ....newly approved member here. Lifelong upstate NY resident, hunter, fisherman, and rifle & handgun shooting enthusiast. Retired LEO. Recently got into pistol cartridge reloading. While searching a few forums I found the solution to a reloading sizing issue I was having on the reloading forum here so I decided to subscribe. Hoping to contribute where and when I can.

Hello from NM. Native New Mexican, hunter, outdoor enthusiast, dog lover, lifelong motorcycle rider/collector, fan of any type of firearms with an emphasis on hunting rifles and revolvers. Gun owner since my youth, I like anything from basic target shooting to just reading about other people's interests. If it is a firearm it is of interest. Looking forward to sharing with you guys and gals!

New member here. Actually an old member who spent a few years away from the forum and forgot who he was ;)

Been involved in recreational shooting, hunting, and (very little) competition shooting since I was a kid. First firearm was a Savage / Stevens 410 double barrel with the stock cut down, which I was gifted by my beloved father who unfortunately recently passed from COVID19.

I'm not so big on hunting anymore (for myself; I respect and appreciate hunting in general), but I show paper & steel little mercy.

Glad to be back here. I stumbled upon other forums during my hiatus that were more akin to snake pits than discussion forums. I appreciate the civility here.

Hello. Was shooting range and competition a year or two as a teen - pistol/rifle/skeet - but haven’t had a gun for many years. Just finished my first AR build, found some good info so here I am, I guess of a new gun owner of sorts.

Thanks for all the great information. Looking forward to more.

See you all around!

New member

Let's see, I'm a new member, I like long guns mostly, my favorite is my sharps sporter rifle, which was bought by my grandfather's grandfather (who ran guns and money to the fenians in Ireland) in 1878, just 2 years after coming to this country. The thing will still shoot as good as any gun I've ever fired, and I hope to give it to my grandchildren's grandchildren. I do a little bit of gunsmithing just for fun, and am slowly acquiring more tools for this.

Hi
New member here live in Washington state on the west side not Seattle. Just got into reloading as a hobby. Bought the Lyman 50th RL book and the Lee. Have a couple other literary resources. I shoot in the mountains here 3 to 5 times a month. 380. 40S&W, .45 ACP, and .223. Looking forward to learning a lot here. I have a Lee 4 stage turret press and the various hodgepodge of gear to load.

Every new face makes the place better. Check out your areas of interest, look over the stickies for the rules of the road, and be kind. We have a good thing going here.

Hello, new here, after reading various threads for a couple years. Gotten a lot of good info, figured it's about time to sign up.

Getting into handloading now, although it appears to be a bad time for that. Interested in learning defensive tactics and long-range shooting, and just whatever I can pick up in general.

I just joined today I am interested in chatting with everyone over some gun issues I have anyway hello again I am glad to be a part of the forum.

Thank you guys alot I love the gun if I can get the trigger just a little better would be great. I am not worried about the trigger travel it's the trigger pull is heavy it feels like 7 or 8lbs or more so I am hoping there is something I can do

Welcome aboard Craig221.
You didn’t mention what gun you have or anything about you experience with guns.
But remember this. Do not hesitate to ask questions, even if you think they are silly or simple. The only stupid question is the question not asked. :)
Posting pics always helps, and posting them is very easy. When you are typing in your text, look to the right of the Post Reply button below and you will see the Upload a File button. Just tap it and it’s pretty simple to follow.

+1 to what the gunny said.... Especially the picture posting part. This site is so easy to post pictures on that even I can do it. There's other sites that I gave up on when it comes to posting pix but this one's a breeze. Plus the vast amount of knowledge & experience available if there's a question about something.

Ok thanks sorry I didn't mean to post in the wrong section it will take me some time to get use to the fourm

Hi!
This thread is a place for new THR members to introduce themselves.

Tell us a little about who you are and what kind of gun stuff you're interested in!
Hello, I’m about to start a new family in the country in Northern California, so I decided to be able to protect them from bad people and large animals with some firearms. Very new to that, so I must go to s shooting range and become knowledgeable about firearms. I enclosed a picture of an old squirrel gun on my parents mantle for years.
