Newbie here. Just started reloading, go figure, with all the products not on the market. I have a lot of questions which are probably silly but I have a need to know, especially from the experienced. Hope to pick all your brains about reloading and I promise you I will take your advice, which I have already done. You will see me on most all the sites. Seems like a great place for information which I am lacking on the Reloading side of the house. Thanks for the info.
Welcome to our community, 74man! Yes, it is a challenging time to get into reloading but there is lots of information and encouragement here. Stuff is starting to show up again, so don't get discouraged. Working up loads is great therapy!

Hello Fellow Second Amendment Fans. I had not seen this Thread or I would have introduced myself Within last 2-3 week.
I’m In my Early 40, Traveled to Africa/Out West and have been a Hunter since I was young. When I worked at a Range/Shop I interacted as Liaison with Officers, Swat and many Leo’s. Ive taken plentely of training classes and have had the opportunity to shoot a multitude of various different types of Firearms. Most guys my age that I’ve met, Prefer to have a safe full of Swat Team Firearms- Yet I always Enjoyed Bolt Action, Lever action and Revolvers. I have some of the other items… Yet not my cup of tea. I’m a advocate for safety in Handling firearms, Reloading and casting.
As a Person who has been in the firearm community and carried for what I consider-a substantial amount of time , I’ve met plenty of Not so nice people. I am definitely on the Side of “Let’s Learn from One another” ,as You can’t ever have to much knowledge. Many of the Officers I met where older Fellas and always liked a good conversation- As do I.
Hope to Be a valuable member of this community and get along with all I interact with. Take care and thank you for what has been a warm welcome This Far.
LND CRZR

Ps - I need to fix the typo in my Name. Just not sure home. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you
Welcome, Lnd Crzr. There are plenty of old timers as well as the high speed/low drag types here. We are all about safety and helpfulness to maximize enjoyment of our sport. I hope you will make yourself at home and suggest a scan of the THR primer in the general gun discussion section for everyone from time to time. I will mention your desire to fix the typo in your name and see if someone can help you. Thanks for the intro.

Hi!
This thread is a place for new THR members to introduce themselves.

Tell us a little about who you are and what kind of gun stuff you're interested in!

Hi,

Long time lurker here. Thought I'd come out of my shell. Share what I know and maybe make some friends. Interest is casting bullets, muzzleloaders: shooting/building, milsurps and tinkering with 1911s.

Hello Twocanary and welcome! Lurking is fine, but shooting is more than a spectator sport, so we are delighted that you are joining in. We are seeing more and more challenges with world events, urbanization and communication issues, so your help is appreciated at this critical time. We have sections for your interests and others, and hope you will make yourself at home. Enjoy!

Howdy Everyone! I am a new "official" member to this community but have been lurking around these forums for awhile now. Figured I would try to contribute to discussions where I can. I've been an online FFL Dealer who has just recently relaunched my service on a new platform. Looking to connect more with the good people on this forum and hopefully provide some great deals in the future. Excited to be able to participate and learn in a more active way now - see you guys around!

Welcome, FullMetalMarket. It is always good to have folks throw their hats in the ring. Check out THR primer in the general gun discussion section, and I will recommend that you hold off on the marketing until we get acquainted. Hard to believe, but some folks sign up primarily to peddle their wares, and of course that's not what we are here for.

Hello y'all, newbie here in Florida. The State with the Greatest Governor of all time-------Ron "DaMAN" DeSantis.

I have been heavily involved with guns my entire long life but I am new to reloading and have a gazillion questions.

I also am new to this site and don't know how to ask a question. Can you tell me how I do that.?

Welcome gunner999. Let's start with a little basic info on posting. You do not need to quote or hit reply to a previous post. All that is necessary is that you compose your message in the box near the bottom of the page and, once you are satisfied with it, click on the "post reply" button just below the field. Next, I will recommend that you go to the THR primer area in the general gun discussion section to learn about what is expected and how we do business. Then, you may want to hit the forums button upper left and scroll down the various sections until you see the reloading section. There, you should be able to ask a question, and get some useful information or directions on where to find it. Please start slowly so you don't overwhelm. I hope you will enjoy your time here.

New member here in MA.
Been lurking for a while. Currently shooting and reloading on a square deal for 357 and a sig1911.
Haven’t had the need to post yet as there is so much old info, and most of my questions get answered through search.

Pleased to meet you, bcook4321. If you are a gun enthusiast in MA, I am speculating that you are serious about your interests and not easily swayed by popular opinion. You also seem able to find what you are looking for, so you should be a good fit for this community. Thank you for introducing yourself. We hope you will enjoy your time with us.

Howdy. I've been a member here for a long time but not a lurker. I belonged to the sister forum for a few years and when I signed up the postings in the black powder forum were virtually the same so I never came back. I'm here now tho. I hope you don't regret it.:D

Variety is the spice of life, hawg, and we've got it. We do place a premium on getting along with and respecting our long-suffering compadres, however, so I hope you bring your best manners. Black powder is getting to be more of a challenge lately with Goex going, so I hope there will be plenty of good alternatives. Welcome back!

I get along pretty well but I do tell things the way I see them and some people don't like that.

Hey, all. Frankly, I’m here because I got tired of all the dick measuring and purse swinging arguments so prevalent on other gun forums. Just want to learn and share knowledge. About me…I’ve been around awhile, started reloading and casting bullets in the 1960’s, though the last few years have been kinda dry. Many years of buying and selling guns and accessories under my spreading belt line. Interests now are AK’s, AR’s, handguns (revolvers are a soft spot) military arms and hoarding ammo and components. And shooting. Oh, yeah…still hoping for the zombie apocalypse to happen before I’m too old.

Welcome to the community, SnakeEyes! We aren't perfect but we do try to maintain a good signal-to-noise ratio here. Always glad to have someone who sees those ego-driven distractions for the waste of bandwidth that they are. We can use your experience and I hope we can save you some time with the knowledge base we have built up in the last couple decades. Check out the THR primer in the general gun discussion section and enjoy!

Greetings

I've been lurking for a few weeks but finally made an account. I like all of the information and knowledge that I see here.

Hello Gerd33 and welcome. I hope we can meet your expectations, and that you too are growing weary of the drama and disrespect that online communities struggle with. We hope you enjoy your time with us, and we are grateful for the knowledge and experience you bring to the table.

What’s up everyone. I’m new to reloading and have been using the site as a non member for about 2 months now. So far it’s helped a lot so I figured I’d go ahead join.

I’ve been into firearms for about 18-20 years now (my dad started me at about 10-12 years old). Since then I’ve gotten into building and gunsmithing as well as continuing the original hobbies of hunting, plinking, and busting some holes in paper. So I figured the next step was reloading and thus, I stumbled upon THR. Proud to be a part of the community.

Welcome, TheRealAC. We are glad that your interests brought you here. There is a lot of information here and good natured people who are happy to share. The THR primer is recommended reading in the general gun discussion area, just to get the lay of the land and understand the vibe of the place. We hope you enjoy yourself and that you won't hesitate to ask when you have questions.
