I stumbled across this sight in search of solutions for one of my kitchen table gunsmith projects gone wrong. Needless to say 3 hours of reading random post I realized that this was a sight worth signing on with.
Thanks to all who have posted, I have found all the technical information to be a valued resource.

Howdy from Franklin Township, DeKalb County, Indiana. I mostly pack wheelguns in .357 persuasion. Haven't packed a shelfshucker in many years. That doesn't mean I don't like a Model of 1911A1. Our Indiana License To Carry Handgun is just that, a license to carry handgun. How we carry it is up to us. I prefer open carry, but do carry concealed at times.
 
Just joined the board and wanted to introduce myself. I am an active duty member of the US Army, serving proudly at Fort Bragg, NC.

Thanks for hosting what appears to be a open forum of great interest to those of us who still believe in, and hold close to our hearts, the words and intent of US Constitution.

Hi from Pittsburgh, PA. I'm Jordan. I am into guns as a means of self-defense seeing as how martial arts training seems out of the question due to steel rods in my back....it just doesn't seem smart to push the limits with those things. I'm 18, and am not yet old enough to carry for self-defense.

I'm a newbie as far as the use of guns go (when and how to use them in a situation if you really need to.)

I've been reading a lot of the threads around here, but only recently commented on one. "Dear Son On Your Eighteenth Birthday"

Well, welcome to THR. Be wary of mentioning Politics because that will cause a thread to be shut down quickly.

I don't know how or for sure: but I think it is not possible for a non-US citizen to buy a firearm. I know there are ways around it but I'm not sure how, we'll wait for a lawyer type to help us out on that one.

I support Taurus btw. Own a 1911 from them, love it.

Welcome. I just bought a M1911 made in Brazil. My brother did some missionary work down there and loved the freindliness of the people.

I think his use of that term is lost in translation, I could give you some humerous/shocking example having had foreign friends and having lived in Europe, one close friend I had from Israel was basically a female Borat w/o her trying to be funny.

Anyways welcome! We have members from France,Pakistan,Switzerland,Norway,Mexico,Canada,U.K., Israel,Spain,Russia, thats what I can remember right now. Foreign gun ownership has always fascinated me and I have always read posts about gun ownership in foreign areas. IIRC Brazilians recently defeated in a vote some very anti gun proposals and handgun ownership, while restricted to smaller calibers, is allowed.

I own Rossi rifles and Taurus handguns and a rifle and IGA shotguns:) ANd I enjoy your food!

Isn't it ironic that the federal government is entirely comfortable sticking a Colt M4 in your hands, asking you to shoot people in other countries, yet doesn't think you're *mature* enough to carry a handgun for your own protection in this country? Somehow their logic escapes me... :banghead:

But hang in there. There are plenty of us here that would support your right.

I'd use that kind of language in front of my grandmother, if she was alive God bless her, as to me a faggot is a meatball made of pork, onions etc and my G/mother loved them as do I, meatballs that is.

New Member in Wentzville, Missouri. Lived in Washington my entire life up until last summer. Had to move to a part of the country that values freedom a little more than they do in Western Washington. Also wanted to live in a part of the country where you don't need 600,000 dollars to get a decent house.

I own half a dozen handguns and a dozen or so long guns. Keep them in a Liberty Safe, and one in a Gun Vault in the nightstand. I'm determined to get out and shoot more. I finally have a few ranges close by. Took the Missouri Concealed Carry class last weekend and will be taking an advanced tactical course in a few months. Don't carry very often but I think I will start carrying my SP 101 more frequently, and I may pick up a mini-Glock soon.

Been enjoying the site. Seems to be friendly, informative, and well monitored.
 
Welcome! And carry all the time, we can't predict when you need it! You feel my pain, a sucky house in my area in a bad area is around mid 300000's.
