Hey everyone my name is matt i love going to the range and welding, im into long guns mostly and im a remington and savage guy...i live in ny...i know terribly thought out gun laws:banghead: i just wanted to say hi to everyone and happy shooting peaceout

Hey guys, my name is Joe. Been wanting to own a firearm for a while, just recently purchased my first handgun a Springfield XD9. Looking forward to learning more about various firearms. I live in California which is a pain in the ass for firearm ownership, but that will not stop me from enjoying and learning as much as I can about firearms.

Really excited to learn and share with you guys/gals.

I am Retired Army, and after many years not being involved with guns, decided that with the way the world is headed, it was time to get back into guns, at least in Self Defense and Home Protection.

While in the Army I carried many different weapons, but liked the M1 and M2 carbine the most. My 1st time in Korea I carried a M1 on Guard duty about every 2 weeks, and loved it compared to humping the M1 Garand up and down the hills. In Nam I carried a modified M2 as a backup gun.

I have a S&W 9mm Shield for a carry gun, and recently purchased a M1 Carbine for home defense. I took the carbine to the range a week ago, and after zeroing it, it took the center out of the target.

Will be reading and learning.

New here

Just a quick introduction. I have been hanging out here for a while. Seems like a great group of people that I can learn from. Enjoy all aspects of shooting and firearms, wish I had the patience, location, and desire for reloading. I hope I can contribute a fraction of what I have gained here before joining.

New to the forum

Hi All,

I am new to Utah by 5 years, originally from PA. Hunting for years and trying to learn the ropes here in UT. Two older sons in the USMC, 1 younger son to still hunt with.

Love to hunt game and paper, and those pesky orange discs.

Happened across this site looking for reloading info and read so much good stuff decided to stay. A great site.

Hello

Droppin' in to see the full view of The High Road.

You folks have a great site. So much knowledge in these threads. I have to say thanks for every time you've helped me out in the past.

Regards from Kentucky,
Chris

Hello everyone. My name is Doug. I have read several threads as a guest and decided I should join. I'm getting back into shooting and reloading after several years absence. My favorite guns are my Mini 14 and my Winchester mod 70 in .308. My dad bought it in 1953 after military service. I also do some trap shooting.

Long Time Listener, First Time Caller

Hey everyone! Like others have said I have been using the forums for a long time and figured I would join. I am a Midwest guy that grew up in Kentucky "smoking rocks" and shooting refuse when the Cumberland got too high and provided moving targets.

I've never stopped shooting but recently decided to start reloading. I am an equal opportunity shooter whether large caliber long guns, pistols, air rifles, or bows.

Anyway, thanks for all the good information over the yers. Hopefully, I can provide someone else.

Hello everone, my name is Chris, I'm from Germany and sometimes when I'm searching for loads, I get data from THR.

I own only european rifles and I love the M98 Mauser System.
My handguns are a Springfield 1911 and a S&W 686-4 so it's an international mixture
I do handloading since 4 years and shooting since 12 years

Newbie

I was following a thread dealing with converting a Beretta 96D to SA. I got some useful information one discussion and ordered the parts from Brownell's to convert mine. Thanks.
I am a veteran and retired college instructor. I love my freedom to own weapons. I am an NRA member. I plan to keep up with weapons information on this forum. Thank you for having me.

I’m new to this forum, but have been lurking for a couple of months. I’m also fairly new to guns. My wife and I took a couple of fire arms safety classes last year and we bought a couple of pistols. We go out shooting about once a week. Since we started, I picked up most of the stuff that I’ll need to reload; which might help to keep some of the costs down. I’m looking forward to participating in your forum. Thanks!

Been lurking the forum for awhile now and have gotten a lot of info and opinions. I've been a gun owner for about 15 years and reloading for about 5 years now. Love my SA pistols and my blue presses and pretty much everything else too lol.

Hello my name is James. I am a country boy who has always been familiar with firearms. My first was a .22 Marlin I was 11. I've owned rifles and shotguns. I am becoming interested in investing in handguns. Just want to have intelligent conversation with like minded people.

Rachel from Ohio

I'm Rachel from Ohio. We have a few guns already. I'm finally getting my own this weekend. My husband and I own and operate a reloading brass business.

It's great to be a part of this group. I'm excited to look around.

New to Black Powder

I have purchased a Pedersoli Brown Bess. Would really appreciate information regarding loads and how to assemble cartridges, i.e. paper with the powder and bullet.
As to me I have hunted a great while, I am 69, rifle, pistol and after a lot of reading would like to get familiar with Black Powder shooting and someday possibly hunting.

I'm a not so new member of TFL, and go by MTHALO over there.
I just moved to Florida this year, and I'm primarily into military surplus firearms. I appreciate the history behind them.

I'm also into the political side of gun ownership, and view the right to keep and bear arms as a basic human right.
My views exactly. I am involved with an M1 Carbine my dad brought back from the Philippine islands just after WW2

MDWS here, new to the forum. We developed the 277 Wolverine, and have others coming. Happy to help, participate, answer any questions, etc. Thanks.

11 Years; Thank You THR

Hello All, my name is Nate.

Wow; its been 11 years since I joined THR. I joined up right after I purchased my first handgun and needed some tips on how to improve.

THR has provided me with invaluable information, opinions, different perspectives, and interesting conversations.

I just wanted to introduce myself and say; "Thank You."
