Hey all! Illinoisdeerhunter here. I live in Central Illinois, near Peoria. I teach and coach at one of the Peoria inner-city school. I've been a life member of the NRA since the early 90's and a gun owner since the day I was born (according to my dad, at least!).
I am very active in the classroom dispelling rumors and misnomers about guns and gun ownership.

Hello everybody!

I am a also a new member of this forum and kind of alien - I am from Slovakia http://www.slovakiatourism.sk/ a small big country in Middle Europe.

I am very happy I found this forum because I just bought a reloading press and I am a total newbie in reloading but some guys here were very nice and helped me a lot.

... and excuse my English - not a native speaker!

Greetings to you all,

I am a new member but have visited this site for some time just never made the effort to sign up and contribute. I enjoy the variety of input that this board offers. I look forward to learning and contributing where I can. I have grown up with a healthy respect for our 2nd amendment right. In a household of a LEO who was also in the US Army during Vietnam, and a reservist for the USAF and retired (thank GOD safely) from all three...I have gained a lot of insight into what makes common sense not so common and what makes our country a place to be proud of.

Hello All.
I just recently found this forum and really like everything it has to offer...its been a while since I posted on a forum and am looking forward to it again...i've been shooting since i was about 10 and havent looked back since.. my interests are in just about everything gun related, love hunting, target shooting and even archery...i'm northeast of Atlanta if anyone here is interested in meeting for a shooting trip or range day..

Hello to all. My name is Ed, I live in NC and at 56 years old am new to shooting. I have been enjoying this site for a couple of weeks. One could spend all their time here with so much great information and experience. Recently my wife and I took the NRA basic pistol course. It was very enjoyable and gave us the building blocks of safe firearm practice. I have a H&R 20 gauge pump shotgun and a Browning Buckmark .22 pistol. I plan to get a .38 or .357 revolver in the near future. Who knows after that. Probably a .22target rifle, etc. My main gun interests are target shooting and having home defense. It is also great to learn some of the technical aspects of this fine equipment and its history. I have already posted a technical problem and have gotten replies from a few experienced shooters. I think I will enjoy being a part of this forum.

Hello to everyone

My name is Bill, and I live in Oklahoma City. I joined the Forum a few months ago, but failed to introduce myself. I used to shoot clay pigeons when I was in college, but got away from it as I got busy with other things. I'm still a novice to shooting handguns, but a bought a Glock 17 for target shooting with a friend and for home protection. Since then I have developed a desire to buy more guns!

I'm getting more interested in shooting for a hobby and have found this to be a great place to educate mself about the technical side of things.

Also I hope to avoid some mistakes by reading others opinions based on their experience. I'm really glad to have found this Forum!

Good day to all of my fellow gun lovers. I have kept track of all the guns I have owned and what a wonderful trip down memory lane it is to think of them. I started cheap and built up along the way (quality wise) that is. I can't explain to others why I love them but I do. My daughter is into them as well. I am raising her alone and it sure is fun to come in with a new toy and she know what it is. First question, Is it mine? Second question, what caliber is it, third question what brand and last question before test firing it, what different brands of ammo are we going to run through it to see which is most accurate. Isn't life great. We are free and must remain that way. I served my country proudly and insist on the continuation of our right to have our own firearms. If there is any doubt, ask the jews before hitler took over or cubans before Castro took over. Take a country's guns and the flood gates are wide open. Well, I got on my soap box. I can't tell you how I have enjoyed this sight. I really like that it is kept clean and considerate.

Hello !

Hello to The High Road, members and mods,
...and thanks for having me.
I am a Texas CHL holder, and an avid fan of the 1911 pistol as well as Colt revolvers (especially Pythons!!).
Located in and around Houston, Texas, I frequent ASC and Top Gun ranges there, as well as Marksman Indoor Shooting Range in South Houston.
Also active on m1911.org, I look forward to meeting you guys and gals as time goes by.
Tim

Hello

I was told about this site from someone who is already a memeber here. I hope to gain much knowledge and have some fun too. I do own guns and will never be handing them over to anyone!

Energy

My interest in guns stems from the rush I get from almost any release of energy. My 500 mag is the most fun gun I have. I also like my 10/22 it has a SS 20" bull barrel and a 2.5 lb trigger. love it. if bombs were legal I would probably be into them too, but I digress. I love power, presission, and almost any kind of gun.:)

hello all
I've been browsing this site for awhile and found it very useful for getting alot of information. Decided to register as this is the only forum I visit that i don't post at. I've been shooting since i was 10, but don't currently own any firearms. All of the guns I use are either my uncles or owned by the club I go to (here in NJ). I am looking to purchase my first firearm and I'm very VERY picky about what I buy and shoot so hopefully you guys will be able to help me pick out the best gun for me!

Good day,

I am an unfortunate subject of the People's Democratic Republic of Europe. My reason for being on sites like this is my wish to escape this political repression and find a home in a country which does not subjugate its citizens. We don't have anything remotely resembling the Second Amendment here, it is by no means a good place for a gun enthusiast. If one manages to go through the draconian gun ownership permit procedure (note, gun ownership, not carry, if you carry you get detained or shot), the police reserve the right to search your house at any time, the only obligation they have is to give you a written notice beforehand. :banghead:

The current immigration policies mean that I'm out of luck for the time being, so I'll just learn as much as I can and hope for a window of opportunity in the future.

Hello all,
This is my first time posting but spend most of my time online at this site i call it my home online all in all i love guns and i love to talk about them.

hi y'all

i'm mike orwill really into collecting guns - especially old ones - and bullets.. i have 38 guns of all kinds.. spent thousands of dollars.. but it's worth it!!

Hi everyone. I am 19 years old and have been around guns since I can remember. Shot my first gun at 10 years old, a 410. Currently own a Berreta AL391 12 gauge, and hunt ducks. Would like to get into shooting rifles, and once old enough handguns. Unfortuantly I am currently in the Republic of California, so options are limited. Currently thinking of getting a M1 Garand, and using one of my father's rifles.

Lookin' forward to chewin' the fat with y'all.
