Hi, I'm a new member

My name is Mike, I live in Oklahoma City. I currently have a springfield xd LE 5" in 45 GAP and my dad's Remington 1100, circa? serial #4091xx "the sportsman"; don't really know much about this gun, but I guess it doesn't matter since I'll never get rid of it. I'm a Libertarian, and I like guns. I'm a network administrator, so feel free to ask for computer help. http://thehighroad.org/images/smilies/smile.gif

New to Highroad

Hi all. I'm Marshall and I am new today. I am an avid pro 2nd amendment believer. I like shooting just about anything. I have a S & W 57 (.41 Mag), SIG SP 2340 Blueline Pro; H& K P 9S Target; a couple of 22's; Mossberg 12 GA, .340 Magnum Weatherby Mark V; and I just bought a 1942 6 digit M1 Garand that I absolutely love. I don't reload yet but would like to at some point. I am anti-Clinton or anyone that is against the right to own arms and protect their family. I served in the Military during a very unpopular war while people like that helped bring this country to its knees and it makes me sick to think they feel they have the right to be called "Commander in Chief"

As you can tell I am somewhat new to this forum but have found it quite interesting. To give you a brief background I am pushing 50 in a month or so. I served in the Navy and the Army (I was young what can I say), spent 20 years in the firearms industry and 7 years as a licensed dealer. I have been fortunate in having the opportunity to fire most makes, models and types of firearms both domestic and abroad. I have a 150-yard firing range in my back yard and have been able to test fire at cars, brick walls and various other items to see what will happen to them. I do not own any full-auto but have friends who have acquired legal collections before the last full-auto assault on our rights. I am an avid hunter, shooter and semi-survivalist. I say semi because as I get older creature comforts are kind a nice. So much for the back ground.

I do not claim to be an expert in any field and my knowledge is based on my personal testing of and training in firearms to see what they might or might not do.

My #1 Rule: Any firearm is better than no firearm at all. Because even with a cheap .25 auto and a little planning you can acquire bigger and better tools.

I feel your brain is always your best weapon and should be used first before using rule #1.

I have been reading the post on this site for a month or so and just recently decided to register. I have enjoyed the lay out and the fact that if a person does not like an item they will give you an honest reason why and not just complain or product bash.

Thank you for letting me be a part of it.

Thanks rmarcustrucker. You thought one of the reasons your country supports Israel so closely is because of our supposed democracy. In reality, Israel is not a democracy but a socialist country that allows certain practices associated with a democracy, freedom of speech is not guaranteed, neither is freedom to keep and bear arms an integral part of our society, though one sees many weapons displayed, the vast majority of the population is unarmed. Those that are armed have either the right to own one pistol (almost never a rifle) or under certain circumstances, the right to carry a pistol. An ownership license of one pistol (or revolver) allows one to transport to and from the range only. Also, ammunition is restricted to 100 rounds per year excluding the rounds one expends at the range (must be bought at the range, unused cartridges returned).
The politicians call Israel, The closest thing to democracy in the middle-east, but considering our neighbors, that is not saying much, is it?

My name is camps -- I have a 1917 Luger that I shoot -- I am having a horrible time with my ammo -- I fire two or three shots and then the shells will not eject. Can anyone help me?
This is a 9mm 1917 Navy. Thanks

Welcome camps!

I'll bet if you'll post this question about your Luger over in the *Handguns: Autoloaders* section someone will be able to help you with your problem.

Hey all, My name is Scott, I currently live in Gig Harbor, Washington. In the past few years I've gone from Airsofting to Real Firearms. I currently only own one firearm, it happens to be a Romainian AIM, but in 4 days time, I am hopeing to get the ball moveing on owning a pistol (although unsure of what to get). My friend pointed me in this forum's direction as a good source of all things "Gun", so I hope that I can get to know some neat people and maybe learn some things.
