Hi, My name is Madison.
I am an uneducated poultry farmer from the south. My parents hated guns, but being an independent thinker, I did the research and found that I did not hate guns. I am a life member of the NRA. I have more than two dozen rifles, shotguns, revolvers, and pistols; though all but three are in unfired condition. I have them for collector and investment value.
I have come to the conclusion that the firearm was one of the most important inventions in the history of mankind, on par with fire, written language, and the engine. I found that the proliferation of firearms brought the rule of power from those who controlled the armies- to the populous, since any poor farmer, with relatively little training, could be on par with any born-and-bred Roman-style soldier. It also allowed us to become masters of the beasts of this earth, as well as nearly eliminating hunger by those who were armed and could hunt. I found the removal of arms in the name of safety to be the same as removal of written language, fire, and the engine as an argument of safety could be made in those instances as well.
I have devoted much time to the repeal of draconian firearms laws. I have not found that the second amendment covered machine guns, cannons, or explosives and such as these are not personal arms. Not even the military gives these to individual soldiers on regular patrol, with the exception of grenades, these types of weapons are only given to groups of soldiers and only in combat. I am vehemently against banning any type of weapon that the government would consider using against it's own people, so if the Police can have it, the people can have it. I have heard no good argument to the contrary.
I love a good debate and I have had great luck convincing others of my findings, including my parents who have become CCW holders.
Thanks for reading this,
