Hello New Memebers

Found the place researching best revolver for CCW for my wife. I'm also looking for info on the different types of 1911 pistols (mostly intrerested in the 38 super models). I do enjoy all the good info.

I also found this site researching an older model S&W revolver my father had in storage since quite possibly the ate 70's early 80's. Looks like i'm about to learn a thing or two about it through here! Thanks!

Hello from washington state

Hi there from South africa

Hi there my name is Elizevh. My brother has recently gotten me addicted to the black powder way.
Im saving my pennies to get an 1858 sheriff .44 cal revolver. (remington replica)

Iv been involved in small calibre shooting for many years, i even competed in national Bisley shooting competitions.
BUT THIS... :DWow . There is true art and history in this and it facinates me.
Unfortunately there are only a handful of clubs in SA and all are too far for me to join in. so I decided to join a forum instead.
Its not really a big thing here i guess.

I hope to learn much more from you all in the future.

New old guy from Co

Hello
I found this site while looking for some reloading info-what a wealth of information!
Family guy that likes to fish, hunt, bust clays and just shoot with friends and family.

Just wanted to say hi. I've actually read some stuff from here before, but I just registered today. I'm a Glock guy, I like my 23 and my 27 40S&W's. I also have a Sig P238 that I like a lot, but it's hard to find ammo for... :-(

Anyhow, just wanted to introduce myself.

So cool to have a new member from South Africa.
If you start a thread somewhere about what shooting is like there, please link it here.

Welcome Elizevh, and everyone else.

new guy

Love guns, love gun talk. Think my wifes probably gettin tired of listening to me jabber on about guns all the time and could always use a second opinion or some good advice so I joined this forum in hopes of broadening my gun knowledge. Got plenty of questions I need answered at different times so I guesse this is the place. Thanx

Just checkin in. Been browsing for a while. Born and raised around firearms and currently in LEO training (police academy) 4 weeks til graduation here in TX. Reload some looking to get a progressive and starting some USPSA stuff. Anyway big HOWDY from the great state of TX.

Hey there.

Hi everyone, well after surfing this forum "forever" I finally joined. I love everything about firearms. To me the firearm is the ultimate expression of ones mechanical skill and craftsmanship, its successful use is the ultimate expression of ones patience and self control. Most all of my guns are "working guns", I dont believe in "safe queens", any gun under lock and key is not earning its keep! And finally there are few guns that come "perfect" and the rest need my attention.:D

Hi from London

Hey everyone,

I've been shooting since I was 6 or 7, Dad taught me. Unfortunately since I'm currently living in the UK I can only really get to shoot when I'm on holiday in the States. I pretty much love all types of guns and have fun shooting them responsibly, however I enjoy pistol and rifle shooting the most. I should hopefully be moving to the US within a year or so, then let my collection begin!

I'm an NRA member, and sponsor a few people each year who can't afford the membership, and I love reading online, gun magazines and listening to podcasts like Tom Gresham's Gun Talk.

It's great to be here, I hope to make a bunch of new friends and learn something new every day.

Thanks,

F4F

New member

Hello,

I have been coming to this site for a long time and thought it was time I joined. Main interests are reloading and target shooting. Have been reloading on and off for about 3 years. I have been shooting since about the age of 7. My personal arsenal mostly consists of revolvers, a couple of long guns and a Sig 226. I have served 6 years in the armed forces, tried out a lot of different weapons and never met a gun I didn't like. John

Hello all,
love guns, hate politicians that hate guns. I'm a life member of the NRA and I vote! got lots of guns and I intend to keep them!

Chotor Asty!

Just wanted to drop a line and say hey. I'm a member of many other forums (same name) and have cruised this site over the past few years when reviewing and fishing for information and experience. I figured it was time for me to at least register. I hope to continue to learn and assist where I can.
I am a huge advocate of the right to keep and bear arms. When I get back from Afghanistan I plan on getting my FFL. Can't wait to join the discussions and I'll see you around the boards! :D

Hi from across the pond.
I chanced upon this site in my ever widening quest for knowledge to feed my unrequited interest in firearms.
Due to the changes in UK laws, I had to relinquish all my pistols and then a few years ago when I moved house my licence (fire Arms Certificate) was not approved for transfer and my rifles went as well. Since then withdrawl symptoms have grown.
However, all is not lost as my wife and I hope to retire to the USA in a few years. (My wife is a Missouri farm girl from the Ozarks with more Aunts, Uncles, Cousins Nieces and Nephews then I ever belived possible!)
My own interest has been in military firearms and military history.
So, one day soon, I hope to be able to get a C&R and spend far more than my wife would approve of!

New to the Forum

Hello all,

My name is Matt Smith and I am new to the forum. I am a graduate student at the University of Alabama and have been around firearms for most of my life.

I found this site while researching which handgun to purchase. Last week I picked up a new Glock 19, and with approximately 200 rounds through it so far, it has functioned flawlessly.

I just wanted to introduce myself and say that I look forward to learning a lot from all of the members on the forum!

WCSO

I have been a gun nut for 50 years but when I retired as a police officer 15 years ago I put weapons on a back burner and have spent my time in my wood shop. I have recently become interested in guns again and am kicking myself for getting rid of many of my guns and all of my loading gear. I used to be knowledgable on all calibers and ballistics but in reading recent posts I can see my experience has slipped badly. Too many different makes, models and calibers. I am now playing catch up and trying to read everything on line (impossible) to see what has happened since I stopped keeping track of new guns and accessories. I enjoy the discussions and like to read other peoples opinions about what is the best style and caliber for various uses. I plan to mostly listen to what others have to say but may occasionally slip in my .02 worth.

Hello all, I Just found this site and I hope I will fit in here with my likes of Black rifles and 1911 pistols, 50cal. single shots, and pretty much any thing that goes Bang.

I am from west Iowa and Dabble at Machining.
