Hi my name is Jack I was a Police officer and Deputy Sheriff for more than 20 years. I love guns and reloading ammo.I hunt mostly deer, white tail and axis and sometime Mule deer in West Texas.I have been reloading since 1990 and learn new things all the time.Love pistols just as much as rifles.

Hi everybody. I have had zero experience with firearms, but my passion is researching and studying weapons. If I had to pick a specific type of weapon, which is extremely difficult, I would have to say long range sniper rifles. A great example would be the CheyTac Intervention M200.

Next year I will turn 18, and thus be eligible for my first firearm purchase. I am very excited for the future of the defense industry, and hope that someday I get to work in that field.

To all the veterans out there, THANK YOU.

Been here for a very short time.

My name is Snowy, 58 YO gal from Oegon.

Firearms trainer, gun shop owner and manufacture. OH I dont pimp my own products on the boards, its not cool.

Seems like a pretty friendly site.

Thanks already for the welcomes.

Intro

Greetings All,

I have been reading posts on THR for a few years, but never considered membership until recently due to my desire to be more active in participating in some of the discussions. I am a former Marine infantryman and MSG watchstander (those who care know what that is). I have been a full-time law enforcement officer for 26 years (21 of those on SWAT). Over my career as you can imagine I have had the pleasure of playing with almost every conceivable small-arm with all of the "bells and whistles." I am currently assigned to our agency's firearms training section. However, my personal interests center more on older, tried and true technology that fosters primary shooting skills, e.g., single action revolvers, large bore lever action and single-shot rifles, etc. I am not a rabid firearms collector as I have a tendency to obtain something for a while then trade it for something else. My current phase is the .41 magnum.

Looking forward to being involved.

"Doc"+

About a month a member.

Okay, so I am 16, and I am in college, high school, and I have a job.

My first passion is guns. My second is hunting and fishing, and just being at my hunting property in the mountains. Thirdly, I would say singing, and I am actually not too bad.

For being 16, I would say I know much more about guns than anyone my age, but I also don't have the amount of experience with guns as most people. Most of my knowledge is sadly attained through forums and not real life experience. I can out shoot my grandpa and his friends now-a-days, but he is also 70 years old. I am probably the best shooter in my family, and I plan on doing some competition stuff just for fun one day.

I pretty much dump all of my money I get out of my minimum wage job into guns, my mom calls it wasting money, but I call it investing.

Hello everyone, Always seeking more knowledge, tips and tricks to make my guns run better and maybe help out others that I have experience with. 40 years of hunting, 35 years of realoading and 25 years as hunter ed instructor.

Hi All

Found the site yesterday, and like the input.
I'm a british Expat living in Sweden, with the missus, 4 kids and dog.
We have a small holding with sheep and pigs, and my hunting permission just over the road. My rifles are Huskvarna 1640 in 30.06, Winchester grand european 12 gauge, and a FX whisper air rifle in .22. I started hand loading just over 2 years ago.
Look forward to the banter!

Hey Everyone, I found this site from another forum. I don't know much about computers, but I do know a thing or 2 about guns. I am a collector, hunter and shooter. I also have a big love for Black Powder guns..Ray

Better late than never,

South FL and into long guns, short guns and most in between and reloading for all. Things that fling arrows, boats, fishing and motorcycles. I stay busy.

Hello I'm a new guy from Louisiana. I like WWII era long guns. I just acquired a k98k yesterday and was hoping some of yawl could explain some of the markings.

The New Guy...

Alright, I just joined this evening after reading a few posts I found while searching for some pictures of the new Kel-Tec KSG. I'm an Army vet just left the service recently and I am pursuing a career in law enforcement. I also want to get into gunsmithing and gun manufacturing. I currently live in Texas and hope I all goes well enough that I can bring my dreams into a reality.

Hello, people. New member here, just wanted to introduce myself. I'm the owner of a custom Springfield XD that I have just had Black and Green-T'd. I'm in to defensive tactics and techniques of all kinds and am an extremely passionate gun lover with an emphasis on defensive pistols and black rifles. But if it goes, "bang", I am immediately interested and must learn more.

New member here. Long time lurker. Great info and seemingly good group of folks here. I like to shoot and never grow tired of learning about all the different things, places and ways to shoot. My stable includes three bows, a .340 weatherby magnum, two 7mm mags (one custom), a .22-250 varmint laser, two single shot bolt action .22LR's presumably for my kids that I seem to end up shooting as much as they do, a cut down 243 for my kids that I also like to shoot more than they do, two .12 gauge shotguns, a 5.56 M6A2, four glocks a couple of bb guns and a sling shot.

Hi folks! I have been reading the forums here for a while now. I figured it was about time I joined. Every one seems nice around here! Well I am into milsurps and plinking with my .22. I am from upstate ny. It's nice to meet ya!
Greg

Hey all, Aaron here in Memphis. I've been reading THR threads for a long time and figured it was time to join you all for discussion and brain picking. I've been a gun nut for a long time and have a modest but slowly growing collection. My main interest is in centerfire hunting rifles and handguns from the newest to the old classics, but really I'm interested in and enjoy using any type of firearm. I'm also hoping to learn at least some basic gunsmithing so I can do more work myself. Thanks for having me here.

Aaron.
