Hello!

Long time shooter - new to THR

Always looking for a tighter group - .22 rimfire and .223 centerfire.

Hello, I am in the USN, serving for 6 yrs now really just starting in firearms. Mainly here to learn my knowledge is very limited and just hope to get informed. The only gun I own is 9mm px4 storm

Hello everyone. I've read this forum many times and figured I'd finally register. I live in Chesapeake, Va and have a pretty robust gun collection. My favorite brand is Sig Sauer.

Hello all from Arizona!

My current "collection" consist of a couple single shot shotguns, an 870, savage arms 270, PT1911, Glock 31, and as of today, a Sig Sauer P238.

Hello,

My name is Chris from Addax Tactical.

I just wanted to drop in and say hello to everyone here on THR. :)

Old Newbie

Lliam here. Live in a suburb of K.C. on the KS side. Veteran, US Army 59th Field Artillery Bn. (280mm M65 "Atomic Annie" unit Pirmasens Germany). Just getting back in to serious shooting after nearly 50 year hiatus. Like all firearms but like handguns best. Prefer the historic pieces; 1911, P38, P08 Luger (my favorite to shoot (if you can keep it from "stovepiping")). God help me I even liked the M-1. Got a couple pieces of old iron I'm trying to make presentable. A P38 I got in Germany in '55, in terrible shape but it's coming along, and a hundred year old Stevens model 325 side by side 12 ga. that I just want to make presentable. I'd be scared to death to shoot it, probably an "unwinder" Damascus barrel.
This looks like a good spot to find things out so I intend to try some brain mining.
Thanks; Lliam

Howdy,

Robert J.

Hi,
Guess I'm the newbie. I'm retired and live in central Florida, moved from Eastern Long Island (shhhh!). I like to shoot anything that has a trigger, did some Industrial League pistol shooting as a younger man. Currently I have an oleo of whatever struck my fancy (and I could afford) at the time. For long guns there is a Nylon66, Marlin .22 25N, Marlin 336 in .35 Rem, a 303 No. 4 MK1 (questions about this later), BSA in 7mm Rem mag, Herters 22-250 and a Ruger mini 14.
The shorter ones include my all time favorite an early 6" Colt Python, Ruger SuperBlackhawk .44 mag, a custom Kart/High Standard Supermatic Citation Military 107, a S&W .380 Bodyguard, S&W stainless 686 in .357, an old S&W nickel revolver in .32 Long and an unfired (don't laugh) Marco San Remo commemorative Roy Rogers revolver in .45 Colt.
Scatterguns are a Mossberg 500 .410 pump, a very short barreled single 10ga. magnum and a just recently broken Marlin 120 12 ga. pump (can't get parts for this).
Next on the list, a 12ga. for me and a 20 for the wife, probably Mossbergs as that little .410 is nice. Also a "tactical" for home defense. I'm also torn over the 1911's, saw a High Standard in 3 1/2" and 5" in a gun shop, looked nice but don't know much about the new H/S company.
I also like to fish and build custom fishing rods as a hobby. Time to go to another forum and ask questions about the Enfield Mk4.
Thanks for listening.

Hello,

I'm new to THR but have been shooting for about 15 years now. In these 15 years I have shot everything I could get my hands on but have only ever owned two guns.

I own a Ruger P89 9mm and Mossberg 500 12g. In the works is a Smith and Wesson 642 .38 snub. In the near future is a Remington 700 (not sure what bore as of yet) and Ruger Mini-14.

I love the engineering and mechanics that are firearms, and I love the skill and accomplishment of shooting.

I currently am employed as a building and maintenance technician with an undisclosed government entity and a part time minister with the churches of Christ. I live in California where the weather is great, but that's all.

I have found much in the way of valuable information here at THR and look forward to being active on the threads.
God bless.

I am a Christian Right Wing Republican and I vote.

Hey y'all, I'm a freshly relocated Phoenix citizen (from Kansas City) and I just got back into shooting after not touching anything but a NERF gun for a few years. I used to hunt for food, not sport, but fell out of practice. My wife recently asked me to teach her how to shoot, so we hit a local range and she went through a .22 (decided it was a girl gun) and a .40 Glock (her choice, she almost dropped it, but said she wants to keep trying) and seems to be hooked.

Figured I'd register here for all the information, looking at buying is some revolvers soon and I've never actually had to shop for a gun before. You live in the country and you get your daddy's daddy's gun, and then hand it on down to your kids later.

Anyways. Peace and love.

Hi all

Greetings. I found this site while trying to identify a handgun I just acquired. I have been a shooter all my life, I am a big fan of anything that fires the 30-06 round, love my 1903, wish I still had my M-1 Garand and someday I hope to examine/fire a BAR. Thats it for now..

Hello!

Hello,
I registered for THR a while back but just now really having time to read more and hopefully post periodically.

I am a martial arts instructor, CCW instructor, NRA instructor and basic overall shooting enthusiast. I'm not going to make up some para-military experience like some people do whenever they get on message boards.

I do what I do, my shooting speaks for itself on the range or anywhere else and I don't brag about who I've trained, trained with or much of my experience. I just enjoy talking to other people and putting the egos aside. I can learn from even the most inexperienced person......I have a beginners mind all the time and I think its helped from becoming closed minded.

oh, and I live in Lincoln, NE. Want to know anything else? just ask I guess

-Jeff

Dear Doll,
As much as I'd like to make a "love connection", I afraid I voted for Obama. That is not my skin color talking just the working man. Mrs. Palin is cute, but I don't wan't her to run our country!!

Hi I live in the UK some in the USA might be interested in the shooting scene here . My main interest is in pistol shooting.

My apologies for lurking for a while before I introduced myself. My name is Dusty, and I am a gunaholic. Im from a little town in North Carolina called Bahama, and my range is my backyard. I work out of my house, so I shoot pretty much everyday. I am mostly into long range target shooting right now, or as like to call it my zombie prevention practice. There is no method to my madness when it comes to my collection, though I do own more semi auto scatterguns than anything else. We have a huge group that shoots a few weekends a month , if any of y'all are near the area and wanna send some with us just holler.
