Hi. I am a novice, and like long guns, as well as CCW firearms. Very conservative, Hillsdale College graduate.

Howdy

Hello folks, I've been lurking on this site for quite a while and finally got around to joining. I'm mostly interested in pistols and have a small collection of Smiths, Rugers, Walthers and of course the obligatory Glock. I do a little reloading and a little light gun smithing.

Wish the weather would cool off a little here in Texas so I could do a little shooting at an outdoor range, the indoor ranges here can be somewhat zoo like at times.

Great Forum.

Hello, I to am a gunaholic and I love guns of any kind. I really like the chalenge of shooting and reloading so that I can taper the loads and improve the way some of my guns shoot. I love getting onto the High Road and learn more than I would have ever learned by myself. These forums are full of knowledge if a guy wants to learn. I will look forward to sharing ideas with all of you. Thanks to all.

Another new dude here. From San Diego area most of my life. Ex-Navy of 8 years (89-97) now living in Charlotte NC where it's a lot easier to shoot let alone own a firearm. Have a Beretta 8040 Cougar, 92FS, Ruger Vaquero in 44 magnum, and just picked up a Sig SP2022 at the gun show this past weekend. Completed my CCH after moving in state, and enjoy the protection it provides to myself and family while out and about.

Hello I'm from SE Texas

I'm from the SE woods of Texas, just love all types of guns, mainly any kind of older pistols or rifles from military to western, to monster era. Landed here for info on some of the many guns i've pick up through the years. Looking forward to the knowledge of the many experience people here.

New to the forum

Hi all, my name is Blair and I am the owner of BlackSun Tactical, LLC. First off, I'd like to let everyone know that my intention on joining this forum is not to push products on people or link spam the forum. I am an honest business owner that does not participate in these sorts of "black hat" tactics. I am however just an average good ol' boy from Oregon who loves to shoot guns and have a good time exercising my 2nd amendment rights! I hope I can bring informative and knowledgeable discussions to the table and learn from other shooters. Glad to be a part of the forum.

Hello everyone, easy site to join. love that I wasn't asked my life story to make profile. I am just starting to get into guns and I think I'm about to buy my first M16a1 as this is the gun I remember most from my childhood. Every time I google something about guns it brings me to a THR thread, so why not join. Looking forward to learning. Sadly with the NWO and all going on in this country today/ its my own country I'm worried about. better to be safe than sorry

Hi all, new to the forums and pretty new to shooting, in general. I have a Marlin Model 60 .22LR, not exactly sure which year but it's an older one (squirrel on the walnut stock). I've had it for about a year and a half and I've put 4,050 rounds through it so far. Joined the NRA after my first day shooting it. Been thinking about stepping up to a slightly higher caliber...but this Marlin will always be my first semi-automatic love :D

Hi Everyone... My name is Reed. I live in central PA. Love huntin', fishin' etc..etc... Joined because I have read threads form THR before and found them intersting and informative. Now I have questions, so I decided to join to see if I can get answers.

Intro

Hi All from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

I'm just getting back into shooting after a long hiatus. I own at present a Taurus FS92 9mm, a Ruger MKIII .22 pistol, a WWII K98 8mm Mauser, a Remington 1100 12 Gauge skeet shotgun, and a Stoeger Condor O/U 12/20 gauge interchangeable barrel shotgun.
I am awaiting a Hi-Point 4595 .45 calibre carbine. I'm also interested in acquiring an AK74, but want a few opinions of the different builds out there.

At present, I'm rather discretely trying to start a shooting club at work. I say discretely because my company is rather stodgy on the subject.
I'm a firm believer in the addage that it's easier to ask forgiveness than permission. Once It's organized and we've had a couple of outings, then it will be much easier to bring it to the surface.

Looking forward to adding to the fray here, and have a few questions and opinions that I'm looking for answers and ideas.

Good shooting to all !

Hello Gang, hello from Quitman, Ga and love to shoot outdoor Bullseye Matches

Hello All

I'm finally deciding to step a little more into the public world of this genre. I know there are a great many of you that have a lot of experience and knowledge, and I hope I can both learn and add to that pool.

I have over 10 years military experience with the US Army, I've done operations in the Balkans and the Middle East, I've had the honor of serving with some of the finest Soldiers our country can produce, and have been very blessed with a new family and a new life. I try to continue doing what I can as an instructor for law enforcement and military as well as giving self-defense classes and advice to private citizens. I'm a proud NRA member, and I've managed to maintain a good reputation within the circle I've operated in. Now I hope to move forward as an instructor and business owner.

I'm hoping I can gain insight into situations I have not had personal experience with and to help share knowledge on areas I am familiar with. I feel this forum is at the very heart of maintaining safety and advancing our futures in a productive manor.

Retired Gunsmith

I am Les Brooks and have spent most of my life working in firearms. Over 50 yrs of experience with stocks, metal work, and custom building of guns. My interest now is to help all that I can before it is too late. Finished gunsmithing school in 1963 and went back in 1992 to teach at TSJC in Trinidad, Co.

I have written several topic's of gunsmithing and made this available to the people learning to work on their guns.

I'm glad I found this forum. I have a keen interest in all aspects of individual liberty, and I've even written a book on the subject. I'm especially fond of the RKBA because historically it is the line in the sand for liberty, and plus, guns are a lot of fun. I've had lots of quality time shooting with my kids.

New Member.

I also am a gunaholic:) I sure want to thank THR for a great forum. I have learned quite a lot here. I have been shooting all of my life and I work as hard as I can emailing our Congressmen and Senators to support our Constitutional rights and believe it or not it does make a difference in the way they vote. I am proud of our Country and love being able to own guns and shoot and I really do enjoy shooting. I am a lot better with a rifle but love the challenge of pistol shooting. I really enjoy the company of shooting with others. Thanks again for THR, Gary.

Ahhh I finally find the newbie intro string

Howdy folks. I am a late comer to owning my own guns--38 yrs old when I bought my first gun, a Sig P250 Compact 9mm. I then quickly added a Beretta Neos U22 for <removed>. When a friend's father in-law passed away I pciekd up a nice Colt Cobra .38 Special with a 1.75"? barrel and a Remington Wingmaster 870 12 Gauge. I bought my 9mm for protection at my home (modest victorian in a small town outside Harrisburg. The .38 snub was a conceal and carry for late night walks. I've built a few PVC target stands and shoot almost every weekend on a friend's property. Target shooting with the Colt revolver has me itching for a 4" barrel (I firgure a .38+P or .357 would be good defense and I could keep this gun in the car)...we'll see where I go next. Glad you folks are here. I will be picking your brains and admiring your experience. Cheers.

The new guy from Oklahoma

Hello all,
I find this site with answers to my internet search gun questions every time so I figured I'd better enlist and hang out here more often. I'm partial to long guns but have a wheel gun for home protection. I favor semi-auto rifles and am searching for a good used 20 gauge over/under shotgun. I find it amazing that Ruger is the only mass-market maker of USA made shotguns other than the really high-end stuff like Connecticut Shotgun. Glad to be here.
