This site comes up frequently in my internet searches so why not register and potentially contribute to the site?

I'm a weekend plinker. After introducing my better half to her first firearm experience I've since been prompted to get into more than just "cheap to shoot" guns. No complaints here. Looking forward to chatting with the folks here, seems like a good crowd.

seen thr for years .... now I'm registered here!

When BHO got elected i began to worry that socialism might follow.
My gun rights were rusting away. Also started reading survivalblog and there were links to this site.... rest is history.
Started with a glock 21SF and g22. Have owned glocks as follows; 19,17L, 23, 26,27and 30sf.
Kept the Glock 21SF and g23 with conversion barrel to shoot 9mm.
When i get into things i am 1000%a or not at all.
So i got into rifles and in the last 3message years have owned a bunch. Kept an AK 47 and several mosin nagant variatiins.
Guns i shoulda kept were a DSA FAL, an HBar colt match target competition ar15 and an m1 Garand.
Love guns and most gun people and shooting enthusiasts. I now volunteer at our local range as Range Officer and got my nra rso certification.
As a Glock guy, I'm loyal but lately can't get Sig 226 tacops out of my mind.... or the Sig MK25 is looking like it needs me!
Good to be here. Please open your mouths in kind ways to gun phobes... lets convert them into shooters... we have to do it!

I live in SW Florida and have been an enthusiast since a teen. For now, I enjoy target shooting using handguns and shotguns. I do some metallic hand loading and minor work on my handguns/shotguns. This site looks interesting and shows up in many internet searches. I do belong to a few other forums and enjoy the active ones.

Post first, then introduce...Any who, I am Charlie from northern Minnesota and yes the road is always closed in the winter.. SO STOP ASKING. The High Road looks ok..Better than I thought. Still a lot of folks fighting the war. You know..well..Ever mind..I will finish later. Mathew 5.44

Hello from NC

Hi all,

Although I have posted a few times I have not introduced myself. I live in North Carolina, originally from Maryland. At present I have a couple of rifles, a shotgun, a few pistols and a couple revolvers. Most of the aforementioned are .22's (except for the shotgun of course). I also have a couple of pistols suitable for concealed carry. I'm a small frame person and I'm still working on carrying comfortably. I study the tactics, laws and rules of engagement for armed citizens so I can be prepared for any situation. I look forward to learning from all the people here. Thanks!

Hi, I'm out here in N.C. Kansas, very rural here, good whitetail country, Mulies also, too many turkey, not enough pheasant & quail anymore. Excellent crappie & walleye fishing too, I don't do much of the above anymore. I like M1 Carbines, am always looking for a better one, just acquired the last of a 11 gun set, the Irwin-Pederson, pretty pleased with that! Also have a 9 gun collection of Browning steel receiver short action BLR's including the very rare .222 cal. plus 3or4 extras for shooters. I do like to bench shoot, it fills out my other hobby, precision reloading, I've done my share of game hunting, as I got older I like shooting paper. Live on a farm, so my range is in my own pasture. (late 60's) Good day! roza745

Hello to everyone...I am new to the site & just got my first gun as a gift from my husband for our 10 year aniversary. I grew up around hunters and shooting, my Dad who is a Navy Vet, taught me a lot of what I know. But it has been a while since I have shot anything stronger than a BB gun. I am going to be going to the range for a lot of practice but I also want to learn everything I can about my "first" gun, it is a H & R series 929, .22 revovler. So I mainly registered so I could do so... any info or comments would be greatly appreciated! Its main purpose is home defense and target shooting.

Im Lost :(

Hi, I'm a New Yorker and I came to this site thinking I would be debating different political social and economic topics about my state and country. But it seems to be only about guns..? Am I at the right site? Please someone answer me, I'm confused. :(
By the way, I got on this site from reading a passage someone wrote about America being the best country in the world (Which it is :)

Welcome to The High Road AmercianNewYorker24!

Did you check the "Rules Button" at the top of the page?

Discussion is kept pretty much on Gun and 2nd Amendment related topics. The High Road does not tolerate the hostility and bad natured attacks seen on a lot of Forums. There is a huge amount of wisdom, knowledge and experience around firearms and gun law among the members here and it's generally very profitable to spend time here.

No, "debating different political social and economic topics about my state and country" when it is not under the topic of Gun and 2nd Amendment related subjects have better places for discussion than The High Road.

Stick around and you'll learn lots about firearms.

Hi all,
I've been a shooter for years but I'm really now starting to concealed carry and I've started my first AR build. I'm always open to learning more about concealed carry, training and drills for all kinds of shooting. Right now I carry a snub nose .38 taurus revolver but I'm looking to upgrade to a 9mm auto. any suggestions?

Hi everyone. Just joined the group. My name is Jay. I'm attempting to increase my knowledge of rifles and long distance target shooting. Haven't purchased my first rifle yet. Looked like a good forum to ask question and get good sound information. Thanks for having me.

Hello folks,
I just joined THR as I have quit the corporate rat race and am moving out to the country to hunt, fish, grow and can my own food. I've already got lots of good info here to help me decide on which guns I'll be buying. I'd like to thank all the members for their contributions, and I hope to make some myself very soon.

Cheers!
