Ok first of im not a sniper and am not trying to pretend to be. I was bored. Simple as that. So Dont be a dick with the comments.

Tell me what yal think of the new paint job and barrel wrap. The stuff on the barrel is actually secured quite well, surprised me. Anyone got any ideas how to functionally cover the scope without obstructing the action?

Come on guys lets hear it for shilo!

im a sucker for a nice, camo painted 700. very nice.

oh, and add it to the remington 700 club on this site!

Nice work, I bet it will blend right in. :)

Paint looks great, but maybe a little less grass on barrel, But it's your happy who cares,I know i have done worse.

good job on the paint, most people make the mistake of making the rifle too dark, just a warning on putting stuff on the barrel, it can screw up your end point of impact, better to ghille the area between the front lense and the turrets, gives you more concealment and helps break up the outline. that said, awesome paint job

just take the ghille material and wrap it arount the scope trim any excess that fcould interfere with the scope turrets or action, elmers glue holds it in place.

Thank you all for the compliments and suggestions. I didnt know the barrel wrap would change my point of impact. i plan on doin some more tonight and shooting it tomorow. See how it works.

just a heads up on that, anything touching a free floating barrel messes with the barrels harmonics, not really going to mess with your accuracy at 300 yards or less, but over that, itll start messing the POI up, and it messes up the heat dispursion from the barrel, it stays hotter longer

The camo job looks good. The stuff hanging off the barrel will serve a function if you are hunkered down waiting for a buck to pass. Other than that, it will get snagged on stuff and get in the way if you need to drop to a knee quick for a shot.

The paint job looks good. What was the paint and the technique?

Not a fan of the barrel grass. I don't think even snipers in ghillie suits normally put ghillie threads on the barrel of their rifle.

The paint job looks great. I'm quite jealous, as I am not currently a member of the R700 club :(

Nice paint, but I'd lose the grass in favor of a camo netting across the entire rifle. This way you can also cover the scope but lose the outline of the rifle (which I think you are trying to do).

I've seen folks hunting elk in Idaho do this with camo and ghillie suits, and even have cow elk walk so close to them that you could pet them. Those are the days you wish you had cow tags.

The paint is krylon camo Khaki, OD green, and black. I barely painted it black first. As the rifle was all black to begin with. then OD green with some shrubs from the dessert in front of my spray can to make a black shadow. Then the Khaki color with shrubs to make a green shadow but be carefull not to paint over the black. thats all i did. it was rather simple. The ghille on the barrel is just some thread sewn together draped over the barrel in the middle and thread clove hitched down the entire barrel. Im not sure how long that will stay on.
