New Ruger MkIII question

I made it to the range today and put about 150 rounds thru the new Hunter. The 6 7/8 inch fluted bull barrel retains very little heat, and really is a sweet shooter. Very accurate and I love that i can buy 550 rounds of ammo for less than $14. The only thing I don't really care for is the rear V sight. The front sight is a lite pipe which shines like a diamond in a goats butt, but I had a hard time getting it to fit the tiny V on the rear. I think someone else said perhaps on another forum, that they had the same concerns and called Ruger. They supposedly were sent a set of rear notch sights free. I looked at Ruger's online store site and they didn't have any listed for the MkIII. Any suggestions ?

Give Ruger's customer service a call and explain your problem. Tell them you really need a notched rear sight blade the part number is MR05901. They'll send you one. Here's a link for replacing the blade in your rear sight. http://www.guntalk-online.com/2245detailstripping.htm#sightblade
