Has anyone handled the new 38 special. For me I have handled 3 of them so far and have noticed a few things. One they have changed technology some what in that this revolver no long as a hand embeded within the frame which advances the cylinder. According to some smiths I have spoken to this is supposed to help with ensuring better timing over a higher number of rounds. But what bothers me most is the revolver seems very loose. There is front to back movement in the cylinder in full lockup as well as side to side movement. This was the same for all 3 I have handled in different shops. Is this common because of the new technology being used in replacement of the hand, meaning more acceptable to be a little more loose than traditional revolvers?
