My step-daughter, that is. We went down to Elm Fork to test some handloads (100-yard range is under construction, so we had to settle for 25) - but she'd only ever shot once before a few months back (.38Spl and 9mm on an indoor range), so this would be a new experience for her.
I started her off with some .45ACP and she shot like a champ - the guys were all eying her and nudging each other to check out her shooting - did her old man proud
She was really nervous about trying the 7,62mm FAL, but after some instruction she went ahead and after the first round had a big old grin and yelled "That wasn't so bad!". She finished the first mag of 5 rounds and we waited for a safe range so I could take pics of her first rifle target (she was hooked and wanted to fire more!). Here they are below:
