New Show, New Name, Same old Mustache.

Oh no, I just found out that "Car and Driver" is French owned.

It's worse than that. According to 60 Minutes, Saddam owns 8% of the parent company in France. Frozen Assets, but he still owns it.

So, any questions on why I don't work there anymore?

Hey Jim!

I've been looking for the new show while scraping by on American Shooter reruns.

Where do I look? ...or have I been missing it?

BTW, I may have said this before, but I gained a new appreciation for your show after watching NRA's American Rifleman (is that the right name?). It wasn't too bad, but after listening to those guys drone on for awhile it was nice to switch back to American shooter to see how a pro does it.

Good shooting!

John

When they announced that show it, frankly, scared the heck out of me... it was the NRA with their resources... many of the people appearing as experts have been in our shows over the years. I thought, "man, the first real competition in 10 years. This could be a problem."

I made a point of tuning in for the first show.

:D

JohnKSa,

The first Shooting USA shows will air [on OLN] in the four weekends of the month of June. Then we'll lay out in July during the Tour de France bike race coverage...
Here is a quote that I snagged from Jim earlier.

;)

:what:

Can you expound on that a little?

You really have to wonder what French "Frozen Assets" means. I would guess that he can't withdraw more than he has invested. Viva La France..

Jim,

I've always appreciated that American Shooter was a very professionally done show. Something I could recommend to antis about how REAL gun-nuts behave. AS was the only outlet to show the rest of the US how we shooters really are.

Good luck on the new show. You've got a ready made audience in my home! Keep the standards high!

Hmmm...

It's June and I can't find Shooting USA on OLN.

Anybody got any info??????

New Shooting Show in July

Just FYI . . .

The new Guns & Ammo Television show will begin airing on The Outdoor Channel in July.

The format is somewhat like the magazine: gun tests, what's new (shooting the S&W .500 Mag), profiles of gun companies and giants of the industry (Bill Ruger), "What's It Worth?" segments, shooting tips, trick shooting, and appearances by some of the magazines writers and editors, like Jim Wilson, Jerry Lee, Col. Craig Boddington, Rick Jameson, Dick Metcalf, and others. History pieces were shot at the Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody, WY.

Should be fun.

ARRRGH!!!!!

I did some research after posting above and finally found one entry on OLN for Shooting USA on Sunday June 22 in the morning.

I went back to look to get the exact time to post here and it's gone! The entry now says American Shooter.

What the heck is going on here?????!!!!

You have got to wonder, with all these production companies marketing gun shows, if networks aren't playing the ends against the center.

BOY AM I GLAD!!!

To know where to find you, and on what channel it will be, Mr. Scoutten!

that makes the purchase of my new DirectTv dish worthwhile, as I get OLN on it... looking forward to your new show...

NOW to just get you to do a show on the "mid-compacts" like the beretta Mini-Cougar series... with the shortened grips, and full-length (4.5" to 5.5") barrels...

a week or two ago on american shooter it seemed as if there was a segment that was NOT a repeat, jim reviewed the s&w sw99 series in .45acp, and the compact versions of the .40 and 9mm in sw99.
i'm also seeing 'reruns' of episodes i havent seen before.

Back to the fore front :)
I read here that the new show was to start June 22.
OLN has no listing.

Hey Jim when and where can we find you :)

I love American Shooter but when you have seen them 10 times each they start to get a bit predictable.

I can't wait to see the new show :)

Keep up the good work and keep them in the 10 ring :)

Can't find any info on OLN regarding Shooting USA.

Mr. Scoutten didn't answer my email.

Anybody got any news or insight???

I checked the listings several times for Shooting U.S.A. , but they showed Shotgun Journal instead. I like that show O.K., but I'm wanting to see Jim's new show! Wish this could get on track!...WE NEED THIS...don't we? I know I do, so I'll just keep on checking. I know it'll turn up!
Mark.

We gotta convince the program director at the FOX network that they need to have American Shooter on their primetime line up.

More Kudos to you, Mr. Scoutten. I just got your reply to my inquiry about the Hi-Stepper product from Lobo Outdoor Products. I had been looking for it for quite a while. It will make a good gift to my ranch owner friend who let's me hunt free. Good luck in all your future endeavors.
