...First off...THANKS to everyone for putting up with me on the SiG P225 refinish, SSP, do it myself questions of late...
I just got off the phone with Ray Carter at SiGARMS Customer Service...after hemming and hawing...trying to find the SiG spring kit...messages to several refinishers...I found the best deal for me (and they returned my email and phone calls )was SiGARMS for the SSP and Nitron to the slide and frame...
Some here told me you can't Nitron the frame...well SiGARMS checked with the refinisher and they say they can...I'll report when I get it back in January (I hope)...so
All new springs and pins, new SiGLite night sights, the once over and a thorough cleaning as well as Nitron everything...
Thanks again for all the help.
Bill

Sounds like a great idea,be sure to post some before and after pics.
Just out of curiosity how much will this cost??

if you have anything to add as to why this might not work, I would like to hear it...when it was offered, I specifically asked him to recheck to see if they were reblacking, anodizing or whatever or actually Nitroning the frame...the reply was that the frame will be Nitron'd...

here is the before pics after I cleaned it up after rescuing it from its prison (the previous owner who was never going to shoot it again...banished to a gun box...:what: )

...SiG Service Plan...all new springs and pins, thorough cleaning...detail strip...check up...install new SiGLite 3 dot with white outline night sights (Meprolight I believe now...) $99.95 plus shipping both ways...($50.00)...Nitron the slide and frame (and all controls, parts that normally get this) $240.00...they may cut me a better deal on the slide and frame as it is already there for this other work and I save shipping both ways to somewhere else...I hemmed and hawwed about where to send it but Tripp won't hard chrome the frame and with shipping it was $300...I never heard back from Robar...or Grayguns...I used to send my SiGs to Klein Plating (where SiG sent them too) but they no longer do individual pistols...

in the photos above, you may or not be able to see that the current standard sights while I thought were only missing bluing are scarred up a bit...the screws are all chewed up...the slide is missing bluing in all the where areas (standard classic SiG blue) and there are surface scratches from the previous owners...the frame is pretty nice but has the anodizing gone (or at least the "black" fron the front strap from the previous owner's wedding ring...recoil spring is pretty soft...other springs seemed okay...roll pins can be easily pushed out so those need replacing...all will get done under the SSP...Ray at SiGARMS Customer Service was great as well...
