My gun collection is fair. But it is not well-balanced.

It is heavy on long guns. I have more than enough to take care of just about any rifle or shotgun need.

While I do have a few handguns, the collection hads holes in it. Believe it or not, a 1911 can not be found here. There are several other handgun types missing too.

My New Years Resolution is to fill my handgun gaps. I resolve to only buying handguns next year and avoid any more rifles and shotguns.

I'll start with getting some sort of 1911.

So, what are your shooting related resolutions for next year. It is hard to believe, this year is about up.

I need a new suppressor next year, I want a 9mm....and a short barrel, varmint weight .308.

I am into the cowboy style of stuff a little. I want a 45lc revolver such as a New Vaquero and a 1887 lever action shotgun if I can find one. Anything with a lever.

My New Years resolution is to acquire an SKS, AK, or an AR, or possibly a combination of the three.

Also, I plan on shooting more, focused more on training that then punching paper.

If fund merit the purchase, I'm also looking at getting a suppressor now that they are legal in MI.

I'll get a few more firearms to fill in what I'm missing.

Actually join the local range instaed of showing up as a guest and paying more in the long run.

I'll go to the range more and actually concentrate on my skills.

Ya, I plan on building my long gun collection some, I think I'm going to get something in .308, and I need a 30-06, hard part tho is I really like pistols, lol. Only time will tell.

I'd have to say I'd like to be a proud owner of a Remington 700. Sadly (for me), I will more than likely have to put that on hold. What I make goes towards paying for college.

Buy mid-priced semi-automatic 20 gauge for my daughter.

Get marksmanship training. Practice marksmanship skills. Get defensive training at Shoot rite or MAG20 (or both if my long lost rich uncle dies and leaves me his fortune.).

Bring new shooters into the avocation.

ive decided to store most of my guns and get to know just a few and use them exclusively.mostly my 6.5x55 mauser sporter, kimber 45 and my blackhawk 45 lc.

I'm buying my next handgun in January. Since I sold my first handgun, this one will be my only handgun so far, so I'm having a very hard time choosing between the five candidates.

Later in 2012, I plan to buy my first rifle. It's either going to be a Bushmaster M4A3, or an FN PS90. Still undecided on this one. This purchase is expected to be around August or so.

Between the two purchases, my "collection" will have it's start - one rifle, one shotgun, and one handgun. :)

Next year I want to start shooting IDPA, get my wife her new M&Pc, and get a 1911 for myself. If I can, get a rifle. And I plan to start reloading, too.

^^ +1 Seanpcola, that's the direction I am heading as well.

I don't plan the purchase of any more firearms; in fact, I might cull the collection a bit. I'd like to add a suppressed barrel in .44 magnum for my Encore rifle, and give more time to reloading, including developing accuracy loads for some of my rifles. Other than the suppressed barrel, I don't need more "stuff." I need to dedicate more time to using the stuff I already have.

+1

Me too. However just because I do not plan on buying any more firearms doesn't mean I will pass up a killer deal on something I would use a lot. I just need to stop buying guns that fill a "niche".

I want to try to get into reloading. I would also like to consolidate my collection know that
I'm familiar with what I like.
