The last news I saw was that that there was only one handgun involved, a Ruger 9mm with the serial number defaced (against the law to do that!!!) in possession of the older brother.
The same reports were that there was no handgun recovered with the younger brother spotted bloody in the boat by civilian; if the police had a "shoot out" apprehending him, they had a shoot out with an unarmed man. Luckily there weren't any newspaper delivery ladies out delivering papers that morning.
I am going to repeat: the hoods in my neighborhood all got guns illegally without filling out Application for Permission to Purchase a Handgun, which I had to do to buy a Security Six and later a Ruger Mark II, the first time hand carrying the paper to the police station to get the Chief's signature "no records this subject" and the second having to drive to the county sheriff's office to drop off the application, mailed to the dealer the next business day OK'd. The crooks weren't doing it. They got guns black market. I imagine terrorists could do the same as the hoods in the 'hood. The only people kept from getting guns by restrictive gun laws are dimwits who can only conceive of themselves buying a gun by following the rules.
