Just picked it up this morning. Had my six year old son with me out at the farm - so we were mainly there just to shoot a few 22LR.

However - I did manage to sneak off a few shots. I hit 4 full soda cans in 5 shots - open sights at 77 yards. It put a smile on my face. Didn't even know what a SKS was 4 months ago. I think I'm gonna enjoy it. I look forward to getting out with it again.

What do y'all do with your SKSs???

SKS's are good rifles. I hate to admit it but I am more accurate with my Chicom SKS than my AR's. Easy to clean too. Solid construction, I guess they had to be peasant proof. Compared with my AR's a lot more kick, but you know you have shot a rifle.

Can't go wrong with any SKS. They are better than Swiss cheese...

I have a Russian Tula SKS. I have not shot it, but it is easily the prettiest gun I own right now (next to my AR, which can do no wrong). I have shot a friend's Yugo and it was much more accurate than I am with an AK.
