I grabbed the "TBT" a local newspaper. They had an article that was allegedly answering the question as to how the Fort hood shooter got of a hundred rounds. They gave their facts (and I do mean theirs) about how an average shooter can shoot 3 rounds a second and an pro can do 6. Also had some thing saying if a person had "74" magazines (thats right 74) can get of 1,480 rounds of in some ridiculously low amount of time.

Im ranting because this article is extremely misleading. Especially the whole 74magazines on your person. The go one to say basically with out saying, how easy is it is to get an hi cap weapon. Also that revolvers are much slower to shoot and reload. I pretty sure everybody knows somebody that can shoot a revolver faster than an auto.

I know my rant is just one in the sea of many, but this type of misleading info only furthers the anti's agenda.

Well some people just want to disarm even our military. It seriously just shows how dang stupid they are. Remember the majority of American voters are actually in favor of gun rights. Its just these stupid media type and power hungry politicians that feed obsurd **** like this to the public.

I'd love to see a TV reporter show us exactly how that is done with a real gun and real ammo. Their fingers should be ready to fall off after loading their 74 magazines with a mere 30 boxes of ammo, swapping magazines 74 times and pulling a trigger 1,480 times.

How'd they come up with 74 magazines? Did they think that an even 100 was simply unrealistic while 74 isn't?

The media has such an easy time misleading a largely ignorant public. I've talked to otherwise intelligent people who seriously think you can walk into a gun shop and walk out with a machine gun. Can you blame then when they show footage of a machine gun firing at a rate of several hundred rounds per minute as they speak about "assault weapons" that are referring to semi-autos, not machine guns that have been severely restricted since 1934.

When a semi-auto weapon is used in any crime you can be sure they'll say SEMI-AUTO as that term is supposed to have you shaking in your boots. I'd like to see these folks given the option of being shot with a .25 Auto which I gather is very dangerous being a semi-auto or being shot with a magnum load of buckshot from a pump action shotgun that will kill them so safely since it's definitely not semi-auto.
