Choice No. 1-Gray grips. Looks great and goes with practically everything.
Choice No. 2-Green grips. Nice but not as versatile as the gray ones.
Choice No. 3-Some other color. Don't like the tan grips at all.

My vote would be with many of the others......Sig P227 (I am shopping for one now) and the CZ97 (own now). Any CZ is really hard to beat for the price. Higher capacity that the Sig.
One word of caution on the CZ, and this may or may not affect you. I find the DA trigger reach to be a little too long for my liking. Others have mentioned this as well. Due to the fact the almost all of my firing with this gun is in SA, I've not convinced myself to pay for a trigger adjustment.

Thanks for the input guys, I went with the grey/black checkered G10's.
Now when I get back from a business trip next week I will have them, the SRT trigger kit and GreyGuns intermediate reset trigger waiting. I figure with these changes I still saved quite a bit over getting the new 227 SAS Gen 2 I had on order (they were having trouble finding one). I lose two rounds, but I typically carry my P229 Legion or the EMP.
However, once I get the above parts installed and give the old girl a little TLC I will be curious to see how I like carrying the .45. It is slimmer than the 229.
I will post a few before and after shots.
