So i have my 3 main bases covered

>Shotgun- Stoeger over & under /12 ga
>Rifle- AR 15 / 5.56
>Pistol- Glock 20 / 10mm

Others in my collection-

Ruger 10/22
Glock 34- 9mm
SA 1911 loaded - 45ACP
Ruger gp100- 5'' .357 mag
Ruger bobcat - .22 revolver
Browning humpback - 12 ga
ruger bobcat 22 pistol
-----------
So i mean, i have all my bases covered.

I shoot indoor's exclusively until i join CJRPC next year. I reload so caliber and ammo isn't a concern.

maybe its time to go tacti-cool , maybe its time to start a C&R collection. idk where to go from here but i have 4 pistol permits left and plan on having a $800 budget per firearm.

Doesn't have to be just handgun's. Though they're my fav at the moment. im not a big fan of revolvers unless its something bigger than a .357

Dad has the muzzleloaders, and 44 mag that i always have access to.

--------
Guns on my mind are

Rem 700 (308)
Saiga (308) Converted of course, now i can share ammo with the 700
9 MM - BHP / CZ 75 / G19
small carry gun - LCP/PPK/EMP
For fun - Henry big boy >357 mag or 44 mag

I don't see a 22 pistol. Everyone should have at least one. Ruger, Browning, S&W, Sig, whatever you like. Or, a 22 upper for your 1911 would be neat.

Get a Garand. That would give you a high power rifle and a milsurp. They're only getting more scarce.

The Big Boy in .357 would be a great companion to your GP100.

Forgot to add by ruger bobcat 22 pistol lol

Theres a group of garand guys around here that spend thousands on them. theyre must be something special about them

Double check that Bobcat, I bet you'll find it's a Beretta. ;) I really like those, but I'd still want a full size 22 pistol at all times. I love my Ruger 22/45 and you can't beat .22 trigger time between CF rounds to help diagnose any problems you may or may not have. Pulling, flinching, whatever. YMMV

There's something very special about Garands, but you don't have to spend thousands. They should all be pretty much ready to go, just add ammo.

If you're trying to fill out you purchase permits for the year I'd suggest a good 3-gun ready shotgun to go with your AR and Glock (even though it isn't pistol).

WRT pistols, I'd second a good .22 full size handgun. You might want to shoot for both a .22 revolver and a .22 semi. Why not a Glock 29 to go with your Glock 20? For fun, toss in a repro GI 1911 or an older revolver from S&W or Colt?

I tossed out the lure for Gramps. He's got a navy 1911 (1918 dated) with the military ammo still in it... i told him it would look pretty nice in my safe.(I dont know how he got to keep it)

I'm thinking the next one should be a CCw gun...any suggestions? Springfield EMP in 9mm?
Then a lever action like the henry big boy
then around winter time ill pick up the long range rifle like a rem 700 in 308 for when i join the bigger range...
and tax return time ill be ordering my custom shop 1911

There's some C&R long guns that are reasonably priced & accurate (91/30, K-31, Mausers). There's some C&R pistols which will only increase in value & are kind of neat (Luger, P-38, Broomhandle Mausers). I love my C&R license, best $30.00 I've spent.

How about a bull-pup of some type? Kel-Tec has a new pump-action shotgun bull-pup, but N.J. may not allow that gun, it's pretty wicked (14 round internal magazine), but it is tacti-cool.

Can't go wrong with a Garand, they're accurate shooters & will hold their value.

S&W revolvers are always a good bet, buy a good used one & save. I got a .38 M&P target model, 6' bar. which I can get 5 shot 4" groups @ 50 yds with. I can only just see an 8" paper plate that far, a shooter with eyesight easily could shrink that. Under $300.00 on my C&R a couple years ago.

My Ruger P-944 was (used) about $350.00. Very comfortable in my hand and is fairly accurate. It's my bedside gun because it's da/sa & has a decocker/saftey.

Just some thoughts.

I would do Terrible things to be able to have a HK 91 or mp5 in jersey. But our laws are so whacked out and restrictive. I'm not even sure if I could shoot 3 gun because of our 15 rd mag limit on handguns and rifles and 6 rd limit on shotguns. If I wasn't part of the movement for 2a rights I'd be living in PA right now

You seem to have a pretty good sized collection as is. Instead of getting another gun, I'd buy some extra mags and ammo for your pre-existing guns, along with some spare parts. (Springs, firing pins, extractors, etc.)

Could get the Sig or GSG .22 for around $330 "or less" (check thread at THR on the pistols or youtube) and the trusty AK-47 from centerfiresystems for $399 and still have money for ammo. Do not regret the purchase of either.

I been looking for NJ legal AK's . But they cost way more for me than for the rest of america.

I cant have bayonet lugs/ cant have Adjustable stocks/ muzzle brake must be pinned and welded. 15 round mag limit

Like i said before lol If i wasn't one of the leaders of the second amendment movement here in NJ, I'd move to PA so fast...These choices would be very easy. But we have to work with the hand we're dealt

As few thoughts, I would say you need a several things; a full sized 22 rifle and handgun, Ruger LCP or Smith 442/642, and probably a regular 38spl revolver like the Smith M10 or M15. A Ruger Mini-14 might fulfill your leanings toward a semi-auto fun rifle or one of the AR type rifles.
