NIB AR-15 R6601 Pre Ban + New Pre Ban A2 Upper Value?

About 2/3 of a green label (real pre 89 ban) rifle.

I hosed up model it's a R6601. Corrected the title, can't seem to in the comment.
Serial # starts with MH063, my research shows it's pre ban. I'm not sure what you're inferring using "real pre ban" can you help me there?
I wish it was a green label.

"Pre Ban" really has almost no cachet anymore, not since 2004.
A year ago, a 6601 might have been worth $6-700 NIB; today, it might be worth $1100, but, that's a maybe.
It's been a decade since "pre ban" had any real meaning. All of the features from before are available now, there was no special sauce back then to be worth any extra now.
In the various State AWB, they are all over the place as to what grandfathering is or isn't, and that's case-by-case, and still subject to arguments by Reasonably Knowledgeable Individuals.

As stated, “preban” doesn’t really carry any weight anymore. Not for awhile. At least not with those that are really into AR’s. I’d put the value around $1k-$1.4K right now. Were it a green label, it would be a totally different conversation. Were it a tan label, well......

Green label is pre 89 ban. They have a bayo lug. The front pivot is a push pin, yours has screws and the pins in the lowers are different/ won't interchange. DIAS block in blue label also. http://www.biggerhammer.net/ar15/coltcolors.html
