What's the nicest looking (you'd have it in the living room) gun safe that you're aware of?

I've never seen anything terribly nice. You may have to look for a custom painter to put a nice paint job on it.

I have seen a company that sold safes built into living room furniture that didn't even look like a safe. They had one looking just like an armoire.

Winchester and Browning safes really look good. Nice paint and some wtih different outdoor scenes on them. Theres others out there that also look good maybe even better.

What? You're going to put on display? Nothing rising out of the floor or no pulling a candlestick to reveal the safe?:D

Jeff Johnson builds a heck of a safe, fireproof, pickproof, bombproof AND he can paint it any colour you want and throw on a couple clear coats. Gun fashion fabulous!

From a purely cosmetic point of view,
American Security has nicest I have seen.

El T,

Something built into living room furniture is the idea - hide in plane sight, but secure if discovered.

Although, I like the candle stick idea.

[muffled voice] "Put the candle back!":D

Hey, when you pull on the candlestick, the theme from the Bond movies can play. "The name's Freeman, Kirk Freeman, 007 and 1/2, licensed to kill bears, pumas, zombies, space aliens, magic unicorns and all enemies of THR. I'd like a unagi handroll, not maki."

Many of the older safes are just gorgeous - IF you see one that has had the original painting restored.

There's a very good antique-safe dealer near Dallas who's got an enormous Mosler right now - the only place I could fit it is in my living room or den, but it'd be an unusual ornament!

I like a safe that looks like a huge industrial appliance (which it is), but also has some nice decoration - sort of the "decorated locomotive" look. What I'm getting at is that many modern safes already have lots of their structural elements concealed or understated, and that's really the biggest choice in appearance.

Check with liberty safes, very well made, all a UL approved, and the medium and upper grades look like fine furniture

Safe Camo

I saw a company that made wood furniture around your safe. You could stand next to it in your living room, and never know it was a safe!?
