The one thing you have to remember about NJ is that any bill proposed for just about anything is there for one purpose - as a device to RAISE REVENUE for the state coffers. Notice how between the standard BS there are references to increasing fines, raising fees, requiring more paperwork (and the fees to cover "costs"), etc.
Taking away rights and making MORE money from the citizens of the state has become the primary purpose of the legislature in New Jersey.

Dear oh dear,that would mean that a muzzleloader would become,what we term in the UK, a Section 5 firearm or a prohibited weapon,except under exceptional circumstances.Muzzleloaders are fine over here,because the stupid antis target the modern weapons,that use centerfire cartridges.At the end of the day a gun is a gun and it can and will kill,if used for that purpose.

A Dr Marten's steel-toe cap safety boot can be used as an effective weapon against people and this was demonstrated by the skinhead thugs,who were members of the south-east's BNP(British National Party.) network.They used to use those boots to kick the crap out of coloured people,when they went "coon-bashing" and "paki-bashing",over here in the UK-between the 60s and early 90s.Dr Marten's shoes wern't recalled and subsequently banned,because skinheads used them,but it's easier to ban a vintage weapon,like a .50 muzzleloader.

A pixaxe handle is another improvised weapon that can cause serious injuries to a person or persons.Undercover cops and skinheads used to use them,to "rough up" undesirables,but no one said lets ban them,over here.

Aren't weapons regarded by many as "tools of the trade" or as "sporting and defence equipment"?

It seems that the people of the old Jersey,in the Channel Islands,will have more freedoms in the future, than those living in New Jersey,in the future.It's quite sad that these buffoons have to resort to such extreme measures,over nothing.It is their vivid imagination, that runs riot,that is extremely dangerous and not a .50 muzzle-loader.

I hope that this absurd preposal goes straight into the nearest incinerator or landfill site,because it is and it stinks of pure garbage.

Surprisingly a pretty good article. New Jersey is a horrible state for gun owners, but these .50 caliber bans make no sense. The guns aren't used in crimes, the AP and HE ammunition for them is already banned or heavily regulated, they pose no more threat then most rifles. Just another occurance of idiots trying to regulate something they know nothing about.
