Gee...did they have to go THERE??? If the shoot was clean, so be it. If not, charges are warranted.
IMHO, gettin beat about the head with a metal bar might prompt me to ponder the use of deadly force...

Black leaders in this Denver suburb pushed for stricter gun laws and other changes after a grand jury declined to indict a white man in the fatal shooting of a black man.
A grand jury said last week that Glen Eichstedt, 52, acted in self-defense when he shot Aaron Davis, 39, and wounded his wife, Benita Coleman-Davis, 37. The grand jury's report said Davis, a postal worker, beat Eichstedt on the head with a metal bar during the Nov. 13 confrontation over a dented car door in a video store parking lot.
"Right now, the black community is devastated," the Rev. Acen Phillips, of American Churches United, said Tuesday.
Aurora Police Chief Terry Jones said race wasn't a factor in the shooting. He said Eichstedt held a permit to carry a concealed handgun and a district attorney determined there was no probable cause to arrest Eichstedt.
In a statement released through his attorney, Eichstedt called the death and wounding an "indescribable tragedy."
But Phillips said some blacks in Aurora believe that if a black man had killed a white man and wounded a white woman, the gunman would have been charged with murder.
He and other religious and community leaders have begun organizing a coalition of to push for more thorough background checks and mandatory training for gun owners.
The Rev. Larry Brown of Lowry Community Christian Church said he would like to see state law changed to allow authorities to reveal the race and gender of grand jury members. Authorities have declined to reveal the composition of the grand jury that heard Eichstedt's case.
"Instead of an us-versus-them mentality, we should all sit down and come together," he said. "We're all in the same boat. It's time for us to fix the holes in the boat and set sail."
