No one can shoot as fast as this guy can!

Awesome is correct.
One of his other outstanding qualities, he is one of the nicest guys one will ever meet. Not met him personally, others share what I have picked up in phone conversations with him - just a super nice guy, very personable, and down to earth.

His wife is the same way. All the folks at Clark's are, Jim Clark Sr, was a true gentleman as well.

That is indeed Jerry Miculek, and this video pops up every so often here at THR. It is, without a doubt, amazing. Plus, from what everyone says, Jerry is one heck of a nice guy. From what I hear, he is outstanding with a rifle too, and his wife Kay is one of the top women shooters around.

Personally, I like Jerry because I was watching a TV show not that long ago in which Jerry was shooting the S&W 500. He was blowing up cabbages and stuff like that, and after every shot, he would giggle. It's nice to see that a guy that good and that well regarded acts just about the same as I do when I shoot something that blows up...

You've obviously never seen Jack Bauer on speed. :neener:

Plus:
1. No-one rushes Jack Bauer. He kills you whan HE'S ready. :D

2. Jack Bauer would rather take his time and savor the kill. :D

Jerry Miculek holds all sorts of records.
Once, on "Shooting USA," he shot like 6 targets in under two seconds, with the pistol held upside down!! He was using his pinky to pull the trigger (DAO).
The man is not human.

I had the pleasure of taking a clinic from Jerry Miculek a couple years ago sponsored by our local dealer. The man is amazing! Gracious, humble, and deadly fast. It sounded more like an automatic weapon when he was firing either a revolver or a semi. I loved the little competition he had going on with the trick shot guy (can't remember the name) on Guns and Ammo TV. Truly a gentleman in every sense of the word.

Jerry was on one of the shooting shows within the last few days shooting Sportsman's Challenge with the S&W team. He's pretty good with a shotgun, too.
We saw him at an exhibition in San Antonio in Mar 2000--an unseasonably cold day for here--and he was just amazing. Said he couldn't get his hands warm, but still shot faster than most people can think.
S&W had a booth at the event and Jerry was the star attraction and just as nice as he could be. I asked him about his pistol grips and he was actually going to let me hold one of his exhibition guns, but they had already been stored. I always wondered if touching one of his revolvers would have improved my accuracy and speed.

Jerry and Kay

Had the pleasure of taking a class from Jerry and have shot with him on more than one occasion.
A little story about what kind of people Jerry and his wife Kay Clark are. 5+ years ago they were in Austin to put on a couple classes, my wife is a huge wheel gun fanatic and was signed up for his revo class. I was range help for that class. The week before the class my wife was in a near fatal car crash and as such we were unable to attend the class. Jerry and Kay made their own very personal get well card for my wife and called to talk to her as she recovered.
They are both not only phenomenal shooters, they are humble, friendly and just all around good people.

What I like is on the cable shooting shows that feature Mr. Miculek is just how dirty his revolvers are, the cylinders are streaked, and the area around the topstrap and forcing cone is black.

The man's got natural talent to be sure, but from looking at his revolvers, you can tell there's lots, lots, and lots of practice involved too.

Amazing.
last night they had a guy on myth busters that was pretty amazing too. They were testing the myth of a outlaw who could fire 6 shots from his SSA in the time it took for a silver dollar dropped from chest height to hit the ground. He managed 4. In his defence they proved it was mechanically impossible to do with the gun.

A few years ago I arranged for Jerry and his brother-in-law, Jim Clark, to be on MSNBC. You should have seen the producer from NYC when those two got going, shooting, laughing, goofing off, giving each other a hard time, etc. It was a hoot!

It also made a nice, reasonable, inviting piece on national TV about . . . ahem, guns.
