By request, as a number of folks have physical limits due to post op surgery, arthritis, and other aches and pains.
Always consult your Physician and Physical Therapists.
Use a Cane.
Get the less expensive aluminum adjustable one with the handle that looks like a tilde. ~. These come in aluminum color, black, and bronze.
These handle have a soft cushion and this is your "recoil pad" if you will.
Using correct basic fundamentals, mount cane to face.
Just hold the cane like a shotgun, and from low gun ("butt stock at hip) just push the cane up and out and then back into shoulder pocket.
Go slow, and work on correctly mounting gun to face. Speed will come.
This assists in Range of Motion [ROM] and getting skill sets ingrained, keeping them instilled and improving them.
Those with No Recoil orders from Doctors, and Physical Therapists can benefit ( again check with them ) and those with weight lifting restrictions.
Anyone can benefit by doing these.
This is also a great tip, for getting used to mounting a shotgun on weak side, and shooting weak side.
Many folks find working out aches and pains correctly by various PT exercises , makes the day go better. One of these might include this cane for mounting gun to face, for those with back, neck, shoulder and other post op, and just "danged old body won't act right" pains.
If you have a cane already, and it does not have the tilde handle, that is fine.
Any cane will work, even a old wooden broom handle cut down will work.
Still for the money, anyone can have a adjustable cane for emergencies, for themselves, or family, and this one with the tilde handle seems to be favored by a lot of folks, using one for shotgun exercises.
Repetition becomes habit- habit becomes faith.
