Sure it does. Read your second sentence, again. Some are willing to pay that price, I just haven’t seen where that produces superior product.
Any time you choose to deprime before tumbling in steel pins with water, there are two steps. He is not adding a third step or an additional off press step.

I don't tumble pistol cases with steel pins and water for the reason you stated, I don't want to run pistol cases through the press a second time. I have tried wet tumbling the pistol cases with the spent primers in place but you have no way to ensure that the primer pocket is dry when you go to load the ammo so it didn't work for me. I only dry tumble pistol cases.

I want a powder measure funnel for pistol that looks and works like a rifle powder measure funnel. No belling, no flaring, no entering the case with anything, just charging powder.

If you have a funnel that looks similar to this and don't want it to expand or bell, find someone near you that has a lathe.

And have them make a pass on it to reduce the OD of the expander portion so it cannot perform that function and go back into the taper so the case will bottom out on the shoulder vs being forced outward.

Should take about 30 seconds.

Throw them in the oven at 215 degree, just above the boiling point of water, for about 20 mins

Yes, except then the length isn’t correct and the steel is hard to machine.
If you were to cut it off at the belling area, it should be plenty long enough to allow for adjustment with your powder measure...

ETA.....you would be eliminating ONLY the part that goes down into the case, which you said you were looking to eliminate anyway....

His process doesn’t add any time or steps! It does require two passes through the press because he wants to deprime and then stainless steel tumble.

This is no different than the way rifle brass is processed. The first pass through the press deprimes and sizes. After removing the case lube and trimming, the second pass is for loading the prepped brass.
^Precisely!
Your looking for something that I don’t think is available at this time so you can use your “M” die in station one.

They do however make a powder funnel that has a profile similar to an “M” die for Dillon, so why not leave station one empty and purchase this for station two, it would get you the same thing.
My goal isn’t to find something that does the same job of the M-Die, it’s to find a solution for the powder measure that ONLY drops powder, and doesn’t touch case flare/expansion.

@garandsrus do you know the length on the 35 rem powder funnel by any chance?

If I had someone nearby that had a large, I definitely would! Maybe worth a second look

So, if there would be enough length, that would be an option. How hard is the steel the funnels are made out of?

Sorry, I don’t. I made a powder funnel for my 35 Rem but I made it like a Lyman M die so it expands the case. There is a lot of adjustment with the length of the powder die holder. My 35 Rem die is probably about 1.5” in length total.

Did you see the second message I sent you?

If you can gain access to a mill or lathe, no problem, otherwise I'm sure a fine tooth hacksaw and a good file will make short work of it.
Also a sharp drill bit or countersink would be needed.
I'm not sure if the .380 funnel would be any longer if needed, but I think the 9mm funnel will work.
I wouldn't think they would be any harder than mild steel, I have "thinned" one down to increase neck tension.

Can't you just back out the powder die so it only dispenses powder and not flare or expand? I have read of others using a Lee Universal Flaring Die fitted with an NOE Expander Plug, and recommending backing off the powder die so it only dispenses powder.

Reviving a dead topic, but I’m looking to solve the same problem. What about using a larger diameter pistol funnel, say .45?
