Norinco Pimp Machine

Couldn't resist this one: Norinco 1911 double chromed, matte chrome on top of slide, and especially those conservative grips. On the positive side is that I know the dealer, who sold it new, and knew the history of its being sent to TX for chroming twice...mainly because the owner expected something diff. Looking at the inside of the slide there are no decernable marks to indicate that it has been fired much. Not much into "silver type" guns, but we made a suitable trade for a gun I didn't want to tote around much longer. Will change the grips ASAP...prob a nice dark walnut.

Man, all you need are some gold accents and maybe some pearl grips and you'd be set!

Well I like it and I'd leave the grips on it. of course they would look good on my Commander also.

Michael, make me an offer on the Grips.

They've already been replace by a pair of GI Plastic's. And I just finished shooting about 40 rounds thru it without any hangups. A bit high to the left; drifted the sight over and now its pretty much straight on, but high. I was shooting at about 10 yards, so probably at 25 it would be pretty much on. Danged if I don't like that thing. But my blued guns cried out "don't put that Ho in with us"....

Larry Starling: Can't afford 79 big ones, but found some nice rhinestone jobs for $1.98 that will work.

Joab: looking into the snakeskin. Found a discarded one in my back yard that a blacksnake left behind. Gonna glue it on the gun...cut the shine a little.

If you're into Norks I've got a buddy wanting one in blue should you run across one for sale.

Can't put much more into it tho...after thinking about the values of the guns trated + cash to boot, I've got way more into that gun than its worth. Dang good thing its a good shooter. The glitter just got to me. :banghead:

Hey I like it and am going to have my Norinco A1 done with electolysis nickel.Mosly I think for the rain we get up here - that will be the excuse anyway. Wasn't there a show set in Cemtral America where the bad guy had a huge chromed 1911.

Edited to add: Just run a box of Trail Boss powder reloads thru it and they went right down the pipe like they should. Dang thing is growing............
