So today at the gun show i bought a brand new naa mini .22 mag with the .22lr cylinder with it. I went to the range right afterwards.
I used CCI for both magnum and lr, but the magnums were the +v 2200 fps ones.
I had no issues at all shooting the 22lr. Went through about 40-50 rounds, no issues.
When i got to the 22 magnums, i encountered some misfires. And it wasn't just now and then. Almost every time i stepped up to range, out of the 5 shots, one ore two wouldn't go off. Usually they would go off with the second try but one or two took 3 tries for them to fire. None were duds. Also i notices that when dropping the cartridges into the cylinder, there's one slot that the cartridge doesn't just drop in all the way, i have to press it down for the last few millimeters. Also when the magnum cylinder is loaded, its a lot harder to get into the gun. With the LR cylinder loaded, it slides right into its spot, also all of the rounds drop in.
Anyone else experience this? Do you guys think it was the ammo? Or is the striking pin not hitting hard enough? I didn't think it was the since all of the LR rounds shot perfectly. Any help is appreciated!
EDIT: This is the ammo that was misfiring:
