Knivesshipfree.com apparently has quiet the collection of higher end custom and handmade knives of newer and old variety. New news to me as it would seem. I have always, always wanted a nice swing guard, but not one with crappy 420/440 steel or cruddy handles. So after doing a little research about Northwoods I was sold on getting one. From what I researched Northwoods are suppose to be some of the nicest quality blades out there.

    Specs:
    Sambar Stag
    D2 Tool Steel Blade
    Swing Guard

I was almost about to get a Case xx to go with my large stockman I just got with amber bone handles in superior chrome vanadium and had also considered the Ka-Bar doghead but for the price and quality Northwoods seemed like a good choice. Should be here Friday! Pics pending its arrival :D

Pic is from the Kniveshipfree website.

The Northwoods Knives are made by Queen, so they should be good quality. That stag looks nice, hope you enjoy it!
