If you go to this website shootersproshop.com ,you will find great deals on Nosler Bullets.
When Nosler manufactures these Partitions and then they are sorted for blemishes, mild scratches ect. Nosler calls them 2nd,s and sell,s them to this website and then they re-sell to customers.
I purchased a 50 ct 150 Grain Nosler Petitions for $16.95 plus ship costs. When I received them in the mail and looked through them, they looked just great. Definetly ok to hunt with ect.. I also just ordered a box of 140 Grain Nosler Partitions that I plan to do a re-load work up in my .270 Winchester Ruger American. They sell Brass also.

Love sps! When I'm looking for a new pill to play with, I start there to see if I can get an overrun or blem at half price or better for "testing". It's noslers retail front I believe (location: bend, or), sometimes people can be leery of blem bullets, and for good reason, but it's a decent way to shoot more/cheaper and play with some new load without spending $1/bullet. Mine get used in the field as well.

So you have to let us know how these perform.

I always feared that they may have failed an internal concentricy test or something more fundamental that pure cosmetics. That there might be a fundamental reason that they will not fly like one that passed QC.

When I reload to hunt I am creating premium ammo dialed in to my particular set up. So saving a few bucks on the hunting bullet by risking the quality of the bullet seemed like a bad deal to me.

But if these bulk and cheap Noslers are not fundamentally flawed then it sounds like a great way to work up a hunting load and save some money. Its easy to blow thru 50 rounds working up a load and that gets pricey at a buck a bullet!

If they were out of spec in some way that hurt accuracy or performance I wouldn't think Nosler would put their name on them, but I certainly don't know that, just a thought.

I bought some no name blems once that were too small in diameter, which turned me off blems, but these are 2nds that Nosler puts their name on. I would have more confidence in them than no name blems somewhere. And don't get me wrong, I have bought some blems that were not only great but super cheap, so go figure, you pay your money and take your chances.

Nosler blems are only different cosmetically. On the ones I've gotten, I wouldn't have known they were blems if I hadn't been told.

I would recommend weighing them. I have purchased seconds, from Sierra, and one of the reasons they were seconds was weight variation. Don't be surprised to find a 120 grain bullet among a bunch of 140 grain bullets.

Thanks for the heads-up. I have been buying from them for years. Most times I can't tell why they are selling the bullets as seconds and I'm sure the deer couldn't tell either. Lol

I second the recommendation to both weigh and measure blems/factory seconds even if they look perfect. IME if a bullet is advertised as 150gr, you will get mostly 149.2 to 149.8 or 150.5+ weights (ie, they took the ones within their tolerance as firsts). You may get a few that are 2.0-3.0gr (whole grains, not tenths of grains) heavier or lighter. If you sort and batch them, that subset can perform just as well or sometimes better than first quality. If you use them right out of the box, you will spend a lot of time trying to figure out why you always have flyers.
That said, I have had good experiences with SPS.

Make sure you mic the dia of the bullet, too. This is one thing I do with ever box of bullets. I had a box of 500 Nosler 0.224 bullets that 70% were running 0.223". Contacted Nosler, they requested a few samples then replaced them with more than I had. I've had run across a few that were under size. You will definitely notice if you go seat the bullet and there is no resistance.

I've bought a bunch of blem 168gr hpbts from them along with partitions and Accubonds in various calibers. I sorted a few hundred of the 168s into 0.3gr groups, and as I remember it they were really quite uniform, no wild outliers. Most recently I picked up 1000 .264" 140gr hpbts for $192 shipped. My rifle really likes them and they were actually overrun firsts (clearing out old stock before the new RDFs hit the shelves?), hard to beat that price on slick, accurate bullets.

I have never seen anything but cosmetic flaws in the Nosler blems I've bought over the years. I highly doubt Nosler would call a bullet 3gr off the weight a blem or allow it to be sold as such.

Killed this guy with a nosler accubond second. Also shot the best group of my life with them.

Glad to hear they actually have some for sale.

I've never visited it when they had anything of use to me.

RMR frequently has Nosler blems, too.

I have purchased from them recently and have not loaded any of the bullets as of now. I will check the diameter and weigh them but I didnt see with my eyes the blemishes. These looked as good as the last ones I bought retail. Ive never saw even a tracer going downrange, just red phosporus burning. I bought several so I hope for the best.

I have shot hundreds of blems from SPS as well as 1st quality over runs with zero issues. Military and first responder discounts are available as well!

Well, I got the Nosler Partition 140gr second,s and they look just fine as far as cosmetic appearance goes.I have a bunch of 150,s loaded up also to try in the spring of this year when the range open,s.
I have a brand new Ruger American 270 Winchester with a 22 barrel bolt action.. So far she is sighted in with the Hornady 130GR interlock,s. I also found that she like,s the Remington 150gr. Core Locks with no adjustment needed
.
My 150GR Nosler Partition,s, I have loaded at various powder grain,s. Using H4831sc powder last fall before the snow came, I was able to try my reloads of 150gr , H4831, 53 grains of powder and using CC large primer. They shot bullseye,s.
at 75 yds and hit good at 100 yards. great hunting load for me to use. Waiting loaded on my reload bench for spring to try out is, 53.5grs, 54grs, 54.5grs 150gr Nosler Partitions. Trying to work my fps to close to 2,900 fps area. I also have some 2nd. 140gr Nosler Partition,s to load up when I feel like getting it done.I have been advised on another forum, to switch to the magnum primers after I use up my CC large one,s. Magnum primers are the best for ignition in hunting cold weather environments.Ok , catch you later.
