I have a Kimber Pro CDP II and maybe about 400 rounds fired. It fires the first magazine flawlessly, but on nearly every mag after, 1 or 2 cases won't eject. They get stuck in the chamber, the ejector slips off and it tries to cycle another round. It really pisses me off, especially since I paid a pretty penny for this thing a few years back. I would like to make it my carry weapon, but with this reliability issue, I'll stick with my Sig. Any ideas?

Are you shooting any steel-cased ammo, or does it do this with brass-cased ammo?

Does it have an internal or external extractor? If its an internal extractor, it can likely be tuned or replaced by most any competent gunsmith. If it's an external extractor, then it's likely to need a trip back to Kimber for attention.

It does it with brass cased ammo. Never shot any steel cased. I think.

It has an external extractor. I was hoping I wouldn't have to go through the hassle of sending it to them, but your probably right.

The external extractors tend to have two problems; chipping, and sacked out springs. Springs can sometimes be had from Wolff or similar, but a chipped extractor has to be supplied by Kimber.
