I'm checking my email and as usual I receive a solicitation from the NRA. I don't mind these as most of the time they are selling something from thier store or letting us know of a company they support but the one I received today seemed a little wrong to me.

It was a solicitation on life insurance with a real heavy lean on asking that the NRA be named as a beneficiary on your life insurance policy. While I know the NRA is always looking for donations, this just didn't seem to be in good taste, if you know what I mean. I don't know, maybe it was just me, but it just didn't sit right with me.

What do you think.

I got the same one. I thought nothing of it. Give it to a good cause like the NRA; otherwise the church or your kids will squander it away!:D

I look at it as "just one of those things". But I can see why they ask.

My parents think I have enough and don't really need to leave me anything when they go. I'm sure that they will leave some money to their church.

I think there are lots of older folks with the same mindset. They don't want to just let their kids waste their hard-earned money, but what else can they do with it? Many don't consider giving some of it to charities or whatever.

Hopefully, the NRA flier didn't imply you should leave all of it to them. I'm sure they get enough favorable responses that they keep it up.

I guess I would find it in poor taste if they were sending this solicitation to just senior citizens.

By opening that e-mail, you agreed to allow NRA to harvest your organs to be sold for profit.

Don't fall asleep. :D

I have gotten the same from PBS, NRA, and several other places.

It isn't just you, I find it tacky.

Many people leave their whole estates to charitable organizations. Just a matter of choice.

To each his own. I am leaving my stuff to my family. (yeah, both of my pistols!)

Relax, OK? The basic life insurance is free, but requires activation. It is a BENEFIT, you do not have to pay into it unless you want more coverage. I think it's great!
