Here's Why It Makes Sense

The NRA is not perfect, but it does represent an Opportunity to spread freedom and respect for our 2A rights. Its biggest power is in the numbers.
If each NRA member recruits two more, we can make a big difference come 2008 and beyond.

We could all point out areas of the NRA needing improvement, but in the final analysis if we don't stick together despite some differences, the mainstream liberal media and the Antis will prevail. It's as simple as that. Do the Math.

Now, let's roll up our sleeves, recruit AT LEAST 2 new members each before Christmas and plan on exercising our collective numerical power to get things moving in the right direction.

NRANews.com interview with Wayne LaPierre on the Cam Edwards show on Thursday this week. Wayne said he had folks looking for victims of disarmament and NRA would assist in any way they could.
Chris Cox was also interviewed on that show on Wednesday and said the
same thing, that NRA had no standing but if they had folks that were victimized they would assist.

Many people have suggested that GOA go to the courts to get an injunction against the offending officials, but GOA does not have standing to bring suit in these instances. No guns owned by GOA employees were confiscated. The plaintiff in any such action would have to be a person whose rights were directly violated. It is known that there is a directly-affected Louisiana attorney who states he is bringing suit. We would certainly file an amicus brief in this case, and are prepared to spend money to advance it. We approve of court action and will make the appropriate response when any person with standing does bring suit.

I'm satisifed that both groups are doing as much as they can.

Political zoo

Let us put aside the 800 pound gorilla, and think about the 2000 pound rhino. A large ungainly creature, it's no sprinter, but when it gets up to speed, it'll run down everything in it's path. That's the NRA. Your representatives are awed and cowed by that rhino, and they'd rather not anger it. GOA is a chimp next to it-agile, fast, creative, but nowhere near as strong as that rhino. JPFO, PP, 2A Sisters-are hummingbirds, able to dodge, weave, hover, and loop; they'll fly circles around that rhino. And while I'd never want to be attacked by one-I could lose an eye!-the impact they have anong the masses is minimal.

Oh, and your Congresscritters are sloths, vultures, lemmings, and tapeworms-especially the RINOs.
