Seems we deluded ourselves about the next administration having backed up a little on their anti agenda. Looks like they were just shuffling the deck.

Half way down the bottom of the "Agenda" page we find the same paragraph that was in the previous Urban Policy section calling for an AWB that we saw before the election and that was transferred to the change site right after the election, only to be pulled within a day or two. It's now up in the Crime and Law Enforcement section of change.gov.

We all hoped it was a sign that the new administration was taking a more cautious approach to the 2A. Maybe not after all.

Crime and Law Enforcement

* Support Local Law Enforcement: Barack Obama and Joe Biden are committed to fully funding the COPS program to put 50,000 police officers on the street and help address police brutality and accountability issues in local communities. Obama and Biden also support efforts to encourage young people to enter the law enforcement profession, so that our local police departments are not understaffed because of a dearth of qualified applicants.
* Reduce Crime Recidivism by Providing Ex-Offender Supports: America is facing an incarceration and post-incarceration crisis in urban communities. Obama and Biden will create a prison-to-work incentive program, modeled on the successful Welfare-to-Work Partnership, and work to reform correctional systems to break down barriers for ex-offenders to find employment.
* End the Dangerous Cycle of Youth Violence: Obama and Biden support innovative local programs, like the CeaseFire program in Chicago, which implement a community-based strategy to prevent youth violence and have been proven effective.

* Address Gun Violence in Cities: Obama and Biden would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade. Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent.

No need to go all rapid in response to this. Just remember that the next administration is actively against the individual RKBA and we need to quit wringing our hands, get up off the couch and get actively involved in protecting our rights.

I just love how "change" HAS already been reduced to little more than rehiring the same old tired Clinton retreads and assuming the same tried old DNC policies.

With a potential Job pool of over 300 million you'd think OHB could come up with some fresh faces and policies

Did anyone really think Obama had changed his mind about an AWB because of a webpage he pulled off his website just prior to an election?
The election's come and gone, he's the president elect; no harm can come now by replacing the information.

Even I am amazed at what a lie "change" was, with all these clinton admin retreads. They're just shuffling around the same washington DC insider trash who have created the living hell we have to suffer with known as the federal "government."

One bright spot: the total lie of "change," plus the coming actions of these clowns is ALREADY sowing the seeds of us taking back the house in two years. Dig in, re-read the constitution, get planted in truth, drop the "conservative/liberal" crap, and prepare to fight the information war. Obama is giving us a vulnerable soft underbelly here with all these clinton retreads.
