Hello everyone. It has been a while since I have been online. I wanted to know how to obtain a non-resident Florida CCW. I live in Ohio and have an Ohio CCW but having a Florida + Ohio CCW would allow me to go through more states. This would be nice since I travel a lot. I am not sure if I can get a Florida CCW so that is why I am asking? Is it possible and how do I obtain it??

They give the florida here in mo so that the illinois guys can carry outside illinois when they travel. Believe it has the same reciprocity as mo ccw. Last time I checked was 38 states, I think...

No difference between resident and non-resident

In Florida, there is no difference between the licenses for residents and non-residents. the only thing to keep in mind is that some states that recognize the Florida license requjire that you be a Florida resident.

Check this site to see which states require you to be a Florida resident to use the Florida CCW license:

I live in NH and got my Florida permit this spring. Fill out the paperwork and send in all the required documentation (fingerprints, picture, check, copy of training certificate, etc.). I got mine in exactly 8 weeks from the day I mailed in the paperwork. Piece of cake.

Simplest thing in the world.

While I was near Disney at a conference, I took an evening at an Orlando gunshop to get all my paperwork done. I added a stamp and a check, and a few weeks later I got my license.

I'm sure someone local to you offers the same thing.

You can do it by mail and don't have to go to FL. Only thing to do in person is get your fingerprints on a card at your local LE office.
