Hi all,
Purchased a neat little .22 from a local shop for a darn good price. I had a great time with it until it stopped shooting. Depressing the firing pin from the rear reveals that the firing pin is not protruding far enough. This may be a broken firing pin or simply a gunked up firing pin channel. Dunno for sure as I can't figure out how to take it apart!
The pistol is a .22 semi auto with a frame/hammer very much like a 1911 and a slide/barrel assembly like a Browning Buckmark. As on a 1911, there is a slide stop and a safety, but unlike a 1911 there is apparently some sort of button (take down?) between the two.
Across the left side of the slide is "Star" followed by the spanish address, "S.A. .22 LR". No import markings and a small Spain" stamp on the right side of the trigger guard.
Grips are brown plastic and there is a thumbrest of the left one.
Any and all help will be appreciated.
