Good on ya. They do need to git-er-done on the double quick. They expected timely payment, they need to show their appreciation of your business. They also need to hand pick you a nice one.

I'm very anxious to see this one that we settled on. They stepped up and done good by me on the free up-grade. LOL It's just a drag to be waiting on is all over again.

Got the new Walker cleaned up and polished up, pulled the nipples and schmoied 'em up with anti-seize. It's ready for it's turn at the range. Dang... this thing is a big ol' pig of a revolver ! :D It doesn't even FIT in my range bag. The 1858 NMA just BARELY fits inside it. Took 'em both to the job site this morning and let the helpers handle the 1858 and watched their eyes pop "Man, that's a huge gun !!" Then... dropped the Walker in their hands. They couldln't believe their eyes. Love these BP hog-legs.

Oooooo... I sure do like those ones of your there SG. The blue engraved look really seems to add something.

The nickel ones were something but somehow I'm just not a fan of silver and shiney on the whole.

'Das a purdy one fer sure !!! I'll definately post up pix as soon as it arrives. "Good trade". :D Nice to know they carry both brands. Thanks for posting that one up... I'd love it if it has the fancy scroll work on it.
It arrived !! Gotta get 'er all cleaned up before I take pix of it. No scroll work, it's an 8" nickel plated 1858 with the entire cylinder gold plated. Smooth, simulated ivory grips. Does not have target sights either... it's basically the 1858 NMA with a different finish and grips applied to it. It's a purdy little thing !!

Pietta 1858 NMA in Nickel and Gold from Traditions

Well, here it is... after all the waiting and phone calls, emails, etc.

I likes it !! And since his Jaegerness was gripin' 'bout the straw bale... a different backdrop. :neener:

I'll have to get some outside pix... hmmm... good ol' straw bale to the rescue again ! The nickel doesn't show as well inside.

Here's the trio: Walker on top, the 1858 Nickel Gold in the middle and the 1858 NMA on the bottom.

I'm quite pleased...

With all that shine and ersatz ivory we'll have to start calling Diamond Jim Ratdog... :D

Looks sweet. And as long as you're happy with it then alls well that ends well.

I look at it this way... I got this bad boy for the price of the "Bison"... who says I can't order me up another Bison later? :D

Thankee

I must say... I do like the feel of a Remmie in my paw !! Prob'ly gonna end up with a couple-three more before the dust settles.

It always seems like the majority like the feel of the 1851 in their hands better. However, the ol' Uberti 1858 sure feels good with the Pietta 1851 coming in slightly behind. Honestly, there doesn't seem to be much of a difference in grip size or shape.

Thanks, and, Yup...

Now you're talkin.
Nothin wrong with having one for each room of the house.

Very nice lookin bunch ya got there too my friend.

I 'spose I need to be fair and get a few more Colt types too... I mean... a feller should be balanced. Don'tcha thinks?

If there's one thing for certain...

Me keeps an open mind in the matter. Others will have to be acquired and given their own chance to shine too. :D

Beatiful piece ratdog, can you shoot it with that gold plating?
Thanks... and... Absolutely I can. Will I ? Most likely (with the gold cylinder). I also have the option of swapping a blued cylinder into the gun. If the gold wears off... well... I happen to have gold plating equipment (electro plating) and can always polish/replate it. I may gold plate the screw heads on this one.

That sure is a nice lookin Rem

I wholeheartedly concur! :)
And don't ever let anyone accuse you of being a pimp or a pimp robber either!:D

You only robbed Traditions of some Bling!Bling!! in self-defense!!!! :neener:
