Ratdog68

Congratulations on your new revolver . :D

Like my Daddy told a black gang member in Alabama when we were at the store last time I was vivsitin him . Black man was drving a Chevy Caprice with 24" chrome wheels , raised it up about 2 ' high off the ground ? :banghead:
Dad said , " Hey Buckwheat , thats some fancy arse Hooptee you gots there " .......No lie , Pops is fearless :D

Well BuckwheatRatdog68 , thats some fancy arse Hooptee 58 you gots there :D You do realize I am still King of this gang with my Hooptee engraved nickelled 58 with Gold plated cylinder ? Barretta called and Teddy Bear said he wants his gun back from me too darn it ? :D

Did ya hear yourself talkin about Colts and bein proper and making your Colt collection match your Remington collection now ? Ummm , I would like to take near full credit on your current addictive tendences please for that way of thinkin . :D Pretty soon you will have as many revolvers as the Hopptee-Buckwheat-Jeagermiester has ! :D

Congrats Brother , after dealin with Traditions , you deserve this gun no doubt about it . :)

Jaeger out ...

PS.......Make sure that gun is not a brass frame first , scrape some of the nickel from inside when you tear her down and see if they sent ya a brass one
before you be Warthog loadin her , okeedokee , they make both you know . That was the problem with the 51 Nickel I had , it had a brass frame under the nickel , arbor shot out , not good .
Definately make sure before you buy a conversion cylinder for it !

LOL Homie's needin' a wide brimmed hat to go with my long fur coat now. Heck... if'n I try really hard... I could look like this feller... actually, a buddy of mine in Ohio... he was "dolled up" for a gag/bike event. He's a hoot.

HOOPLA044.jpg

Well... looks like Traditions screwed up again... they sent "ivory" to me (does that mean I'm a simulated "gent"?). It's mine now... too late to take it back !!

LOL That's a phunnie tale you have 'bout pops and his comment about the Caprice. Can't really say you get full credit 'bout me wanting some of each... that's kinda been what I've been about from the get go (with BP toys).... but your twisted input definately rings true within my twisted head. :D Kinda makes ya my brother from another mother, huh?

Hey buddy

you know your buddy from Ohio realy dresses like that for everyday man , don't be tryin to kid us now :D

Simulated Plastic is more like it :what: Just kidding , Traditions has nothin to do with those guns except sell um anyway . Yours looks just as good as mine on um for sure . I think white grips just goes right with Nickel guns . :D The Gold well , I could live without it , forever . Am sure to nickel mine eventually .
It wears off quick Ratdog68 if your gonna shoot out of it . Mine is doin just that . I use the conversion cylinder msotly anyways .
Sure glad you gota nice lookin piece to add to your collection . You will be amazed how easy it is to clean . Plus the fouling up against the forcing cones just wipes right off too , sweet .

Ok , so I can't take credit for your addiction , just mine I guess , I tried . :D

If you knew my Pops , the story is more understandable of course , he's 6'5" 240 pounds of Jeronimo lookin mean Indian , he wouldv'e snapped that gang banger like a Fudge Cicle stick had he said anything back derogetory . He hates gang bangers . He likes blacks just fine , me too , but were pretty anti gang bangers , doesn't matter the color either Ratdog68 . ;) You know the drill, your surrounded by um I know , I used to live there too .

Well right on, new gun for ya, thats just exciting man , way to go !

So, is it brass or steel ?

Jaegerdude :D

Jaegerdude :D

He and his wife Sindee are a pile of fun. He's another BP nut.

Yup... I"m sure the gold won't last all that long. If need be, I can polish off the gold plating and re-plate it in 24kt. I've got the means to do it. I'll probably gold plate the screw heads too at some point in time. I must say though... I really like your scroll engraved one better. That's just down right FINE !! This one's my first new nickel gun. I'm likin' it just fine too.

Yer definately contributing to my diliquency... let's call it the right kind of encouragement. :D

Yup... people are people, no matter what color the skin... unfortunately there's "PUNKS" in every group of people. Nobody likes punks. At least that one appears to be one with a little common sense.

I pulled the grips and took a file to the rough casting area on the inside face of the grip frame. I filed that section smooth and it doesn't have the tell tale golden appearance of brass, it has that nice steel look about it.

Hey.... yer enthusiasm for the sport is inspiring... and, I'll be pickin' yer brain from time to time. Lots of great folks 'round here to glean stuff from.

Steel , great

I was wonderin about that , glad its steel not Nickel over brass like that darned 51 was from them . That was one good lookin 51 too , Gander Mountain a long arse times ago had a model that they carried that had laminated wood grips on the 51 , yes , NO Kidding , from Traditions no less ! I bought two , gave one to my Pops and one to a good friend . Pops broke , my friends was still doin fine years later , so just another example of crappy QC from italy I suppose . After seein those close up pics of that Parker they carry though , I would try my luck again with Traditions . Can't beleive I even said that ! :banghead: Just glad yours is steel is my point , good . :)

Cabelas carried my model 58 Remington if ya ever get the hankerin to get yours a girlfreind ! Unfortunatly I have watched them go from about $250 up to $340 or so now . Ummmm , it appears they don't stock that one anymore and just the 51 and 60 model , just looked at there Web Page ? Supply and demand I guess , glad I got mine while you still could I guess . Ummm yup , real glad , nice shooter , and pretty like me :D

Enthusiasm you say I have , hmmmm ? I always thought it was O.C.D , but I believe you , yours sounds like a better disease to have anyways :D
Well let me tell ya my friend , you gots one good case of it too ! :D

Stopped off at Home Depot yesterday after work , gots the rest of my stuff to finish off my Confederate Grey display case I am buildin for the other wall finally . I gots too many guns layin around again , had to finally get this case built so they didn't have to sleep on the couch like a bad friend that stayed more than three days you know . :D I got the wood free of course , just had to mill it up , but this stuff gets expensive buildin these things man . Between plexiglass and hardware and another lock , each case I build is a C-Note without labor easilly . I did have a 40 % off coupon on the red velvet at Joans Fabrics , thank God , that stuff is SPENDY ! Plus with brass hooks and surgical clear tubing to hang the guns on , now that I think of it if I put the cost of screws and glue and paint into the mix , its well over a C-Note actually . But hey, when you stuff several thousand dollars of guns in one , tis worth it to keep um dust free and in great shape when they aint out gettin shot up . Plus I like nothin more than spendin time in my gun room , just admirin the Art you know , love it . Screw Picasso , he aint got nothin on the Jaeger !

Dad called last night to let me know he got the Magazine for the 40 I sent him , cool . Uncool was when I asked him if he still had the 1860 Nickel Colt , he said he traded it off years ago . :fire: For what its worth , he told me if he did still have it he'd have just given it to me . We tend to swap stuff over you know Ratdog68 , guns , gunsmithing work, stuff like that. His pistol grip skills aint as good as mine but his hand engraving on gunstocks is way better than mine, so we swap work from time to time and guns of course . I have given that man allot of guns in his life , thats for sure :) Oh yes, out of four boys I am the favorite son dont ya know ! He's still got my Sam yang .45 air rifle stock he's engraving , can't wait . But , I have been wating 5 months now ? Patience Jaeger patience ! Although it will be dazzling I have no doubt about that :D

Well , look forward to hearin a range report one of these days on that 58 of yours !
Were headin out Saturday to our range , not sure what I am takin yet ? I have too many to test , so just gonna grab one and go . Were mostly goin for the 1911's , gots friends we like to compete freindly with , so its going to be mostly modern , but am going to annoy people with at least one BP somethin . I have a hankerin to get the Dragoons out again though :D

Das Jaeger

Oh Ratface

I am pretty darned sure I asked for a different backstop-backdrop other than Hay Bales that included Nekked Blonds if my memory serves me right , and it does serve me right :D Ummm , I see nice Carpet in the one picture , um did the Blond not get in the picture for some reason ? Was she really that ugly ?
Man that sure is one pretty gun you got , good pics too , umm , except for the no nekked blond thing :fire:
My Blond says she won't pose for the Forum as my gun backdrop , but she does like your gun if tis any consolation ? What a gal I got man ! Gun Freak , and freak , yeehaaa :D
Hopefully I can get her to post up her new Kimber too , its gorgeous , and the only guns your gonna see from her I bet . :D

I"ll bet those laminated wood grips were purdy suckers !! I used to do quite a bit of mail-order business with Gander Mountain when I was in the arctic... they were a bit more "friendly" to us Alaskans "back in the day" than was Cabela's. I'll have to put an eyeball to their web-site. With WA State's laws the way they are... it's better to do business with a vendor who does NOT have a brick/mortar store within the state lines (when it comes to buying BP goodies).

Oh... I'm plannin' on one of them Navy beauties in the nickel... and some others too. In time, in time.

It's only a disease when it's someone else's habit... ya know... like... golf, stuff like that. With our guns... it's an appreciation of all the finer things.

Yeah, I hear ya... I need to get busy with making some bow racks, and some gun display cases. I've got bows and guns sprawled out all over the place in my little house... and nonsense hanging on the walls. Gotta get busy changin' that. :D

Ack !!!:banghead: He traded off your gun long ago ?!?! Didja tell him he's cut-off from other new ones? Old peoplesz... whatcha gonna do with'em? :D

I'm goin' fishin' again tomorrow... and then Sunday I play passenger with my buddy and his family to do a round-trip to Portland to see his son and celebrate my buddy's boipday. Gonna be a busy weekend... I'm ready !! Have a ball at the range... make lots of smoke... I expect some pix of the whole crew while they're blastin' away.

Gotta go to the store... fresh outta nekkid blondes... so that couch cloth had to suffice for a couple. That danged straw bale just works so good though. Nuttin' like natural light to show case a gun's beauty !!

Tell that gal of yers she's been voted as the designated backdrop for all our BP guns... heck, the 1911's too. We're reasonable folk (sorta).

Thats right Ratdog68

you Bow-vines are Straw folk , not Hay people , thats right . :D I forget that easilly after getting out of the sport years ago myself . We used Sisil ? However its spelled ? Fancy straw , hows that ! :D
I had my trusty Browning Mirage Compound goin on when I was into it , back before overdraw Bows were even in vogue or used for Hunting . Darn , I am Old ?

Good luck fishin , catch an eater :D Takin the Spiller and Burr .36 , decided on that today , gettin her ready as we speak . Dragoons will wait till I have more range time , gals gota nail appointment , so were pressed for time a little tomorrow . I like her nails , so its all good ! :D

Take care , Jaeger

Have fun with the Spiller and Burr... we want pix !!

Went to my buddy's last night and helped with geting the boat ready to go... got to bed at midnight... headed out the door momentarily !! Listen for a few "FISH ON" hollers !

'Dog-gone

Ratface68

anyone ever told you , you are a pain my preverbial picture arse ? :D
Please let me be the first then :neener:
Its bad enough you gots to rub my nose in your fishing adventures
( lusting and envious :D ) , but you want pictures of the Spiller and Burr in action no less ? ...If nothing else , you are demanding you know :D
Will see what I can do for ya though . I hope to at least catch some nice smokey shots , maybe some fire too . Will try to get Mount Rainier in the background okeedokee , jeeeeeeeeeesh ! Am going to be using REAL MEN POWDER , yes the Holy Black , max loads , this Spiller and Burr likes um hot too , very accurate on two levels as with most BP revolvers actually . But being a true Warthog , I am not messin with the tiny puff loads today , were goin for drillin some holes hard and fast instead . :D

Will see what I can do for pics ? You realize I have to inconvenience my lady to pull that off you know ? Do you know I will be risking hearing " God your a pian in the arse today Honey " ................And I am blaming it on you too Ratdog68 !

Was sittin there pulling nipples last night prepping the gun and stuff , she's sittin there on her laptop PC shakin her head . She just doesn't understand why people are into this BP thing . Man thats allot of work she keeps sayin :D . And I love every minute of it baby :) ......

Jaeger out , you pain in my arse

Well? I don't see no "pichers" yet? Wassamatta you ?!?! :D

Yesterday was a great day of fishing... but, a lousy day of "catching". The ONLY "bite" for the boat was me landing a bait fish that couldn't resist the lure. There were ZERO indications on the fishfinder of any schools of victims... and we were hunting the usual spots that have fish. Hundreds of boats out there too. My buddy drooled on my nickel/gold .44 though. LOL He wanted me to toast us a sea lion that was sunning hizself on the bouy. Being half Native Alaskan... I was tempted to generate some worry for WDFW.... but, the old beast remained untouched on his bed.

Seals pretty good eatin

shoulda nailed um .

Umm , hey Spiller at range picture thread , your not looking very hard !

Thats whyt hey call it fishin , not catchin anyways :D
My worst day fishin is better than my best day workin , remember that .

Jaeger

Didn't see it, 'cause I hadn't gotten that far along the list of shtuffs I hadn't read yet... missed out on most of yesterday with my time in das boot. :D I'm workin' my way there !!

Yup... seal meat is good... so is whale.

Yummmy

yeh , I like both , will eat most anything personally , except I stear away from insects for the most part , unless of course the stray Spider crawls in my mouth , then he's fare game the way is see it . :D

I gots Injun friends here out on Shi Shi beach area on Neah Bay , we have spent some time chewin animals let me tell ya , and no small amount of whale and Seal has crossed my lips and out the other side , hee hee hee . Good folk out there , really welcomed me good , even being from the Seminole tribe as I am , they still welcomed me right , even being a MUTT indian . :D Them boys and girls like to eat out there Ratdog68 , man they sure do . You ever seena 300 pound native eatin a whole gunny sack of Oysters ? I have . It aint pretty ! :D

Das Jaeger

LOL A whole gunny sack of oysters !??! I'll bet that was messy later !! What a hoot. Ain't been to Neah Bay area in decades !!

You

wouldn't recognize it Ratdog68 , the Old Store aint there , the old lodges aint there , its this total transformation , a real nice Museum though now , but the Waterfront aint like it was 25 years ago, oh man it has changed . Not for the better either . And now you have to seriously Trespass to get to Shi Shi , which is BS too . Well , unless your native of course .

Cheers , Jaeger

25 yrs ago ?!? I haven't seen that place in close to 40 yrs ! LOL About all I clearly remember is how bad the water tasted and smelled in the motel we were at. Oh... and maybe the sight of the Cape from the boat while fishin' with dad. I'll have to make my way there some time... just for the adventure of it.
