Oh Canada! - Why nobody ships to me?

It can be tough to get what you are after for reloading up here in Canada.
There are 3 places I can go within an hour drive, one of which is Bass Pro who are rediculously over priced compared to there US counterpart.
Example: The Hornady LNL AP on the Bass Pro Website is $439.99 - In the store up here it is $580.00. Is that a kick in the teeth or what!
The challenge right now is getting single dies like a Lymann M expnader or Redding seater. All dies up here come in complete sets and limited selection.
Are there any other Canuks or American friends on here that know of any places that ship to Ontario, Canada?

You buy it & have it sent to my house then I'll send it to you. By the time you paid shipping twice it might be cheaper to go to Bass Pro.

In all seriousness -- even with the best of intentions, you don't want to be breaking export laws, especially ITAR type stuff. There are reasons why major distributors do and don't ship to folks outside the 'States, and it isn't because they don't want to make the sale. Rules like these don't only apply to big sales outlets.

Not saying that such items ARE covered -- I don't know. Just saying you MUST make sure you're on the right side of the law before you do this kind of thing.
 
I certainly would not want to get anyone in trouble.
I will have to check out Midway again. I didn't think they shipped to Canada?
 
I've bought motorcycle performance parts from Canada, came UPS, and I was later billed for customs. Took a week or two, but yep, I was billed. Don't know if it's the same going into Canada, but if so, maybe that's why the prices are already so high up there.
 
The duty must be paid. I ship all over the world. It cost me more to ship to Canada then it does to the UK. I'm exempt from most of the hog wash but still can't ship cartridge brass, bullets, & every other component is restricted anyway. Now put a candle in it & call it a holder your OK. I can ship all the tools I want to pay for.

Where abouts in Canada ?

You said Ontario....where abouts ?

If you are near Windsor ( hard being detroits largest suburb, I know) It would be very much in your interest to take the bridge over to michigan and buy what you need there.

Many things fall under ITAR and are prohibited from being exported, or have very strict regulations attached. Components, ammo, reloading gear and other items fall under many of those regs, which is why some companies set up shops in other countries to help sell products

I have no idea what driving here, buying the product, and driving back might cause, but it might be worth investigating from a legal standpoint - even if you have to pay customs duty
 
A few last things parks.... You may have considered it, you may not, but I figured its worth mentioning

1. Internet to store prices are horrible for comparison. The internet is great for knowledge, horrible for pricing...especially local pricing. If you can't get internet prices due to shipping restrictions, thinking of those prices is a dream- not a reality.

2. Most net sites you are viewing show the value in USD, not CSD. Lately, this has been far less of an issue...as the US dollar falls, the Canadian dollar comes closer and closer to pegging it...but there will always be disparity. I remember sometimes in the early nineties when it was close to 30 cents in our favor.

In any event, I still think you'd be better off dropping over the bridge to take advantage of the better shopping here....

Midway or Midway International do not ship to Canada.

I have no problems ordering items from may of the large dealers like Sinclair International, Midsouth Shooters, and Brownells. They will ship to Canada as long as the items are net restricted by ITAR, things like firearms, ammo, scopes, and reloading components.
